Thank the lord! He’s not our future.
No he isn’t. But based on form and the output of the current players in the team, he deserves a game.

What is the point of retaining him on the list if you aren’t going to play him based on his current form?

Don't see the point in playing Larks over there at night in the wet.

Hrovat should come in for him.
Brads idea of a joke.

Play him to appease the supporters, but play him in conditions where he isnt suited, so it’s easy to drop him the following week.

I'm alright with the changes. Ahern was very poor last week. Nine disposals and 0 tackles. Bailey Scott has been pretty anonymous since round 1. Both would benefit from time in the VFL to work on deficiencies. Happy to see Larkey and Thomas in as they are the future of our forward line. Larkey is a great prospect IMO. I've given up on being p***ed off with Luke McDonald in the side. Match committee obviously see something I don't. I would prefer to see Tom Murphy given a go in Lukes position but can't see that happening this year.
I disagree Kaboom I think the only way blokes like Ahern and Scott and Larkey and Thomas will develop is if we play them in the seniors, that is where the real experience they need to pick up is being dished out, they are the future, give them the taste of dogshit now so they are motivated to avoid that taste when they hit peak form in 3-4 years, under a new coach..........

Wright is so far from AFL level he needs a ******* telescope to see it.

He gets torched by quick small forwards.

Macmillan can't defend 1v1 and is a horrendous decision maker. He gets torched by quick small forwards.

McDonald isn't a defender. Gets torched by quick small forwards.

What do port have?

Quick small forwards.

Scott is a genius.
Daw, EVW, McKay, Murphy and Durdin are all injured. The VFL team has been getting smashed even worse than the seniors. Who do you think should take their places?

Two out of three ain't bad. TT for Scott isn't unreasonable, particularly if we want some more defensive application with TT brings. Larkey in is an 'about time' inclusion for mine, although it'll be interesting to see how the forward line functions with BB, JZ, Mase and Nick. I'm assuming Nick (and Zurhaar) back up in the ruck. I'd like to think if Marley was fit, that LMac wouldn't be an automatic inclusion this week.

What is Scotts thinking? More of the same bullshit that got us 'to this point' in the first place. He must clearly have a psychopathic hatred of Ahern and he's managed to ruin Bailey Scott in only 3 games, plus resting him. Round 225 looking like another debacle not seen since millions of dollars were siphoned off to the Cayman Islands. First it was Notre Dame, then Sri Lanka, now this. At least the certain 100 point loss means we'll have a new PM before the month is out.

I understand your point but I don't believe he should even
be on our list.

That’s the problem though. If he isn’t good enough to play in his current form, then you are correct, why is he on the list?

Terrible list management, not unusual for North.

Thinking about it a bit more.. it might not be so bad.

Let Scotts continue to play his favourites, we know it won't work and he will likely be out of the club soon.

Also means that we don't have all of our untainted youngsters exposed to Brad's "gameplan" - as it will just confuse them more, and they will lose confidence when they can't fulfil what's asked of them.

All well and good to blood our kids. But when they're shunted in an environment where they won't be able to succeed.. maybe it's better they wait.

Can't see him lasting the next two games the way we are playing.

B Jamie Macmillan, Robbie Tarrant, Jasper Pittard
HB Sam Wright, Scott D. Thompson, Luke McDonald

Worst backline in the league by a country mile.
Ain't that the truth. Let's be honest:
A: Tarrant
B: Thompson
C: -
D: Pittard, Wright, McDonald

Pittard is maybe a C-, but the point stands. An awful setup.

Two other thoughts:

1. TT for Scott is weird. There isn't a "one young bloke" policy. Scott didn't deserve to lose his spot. At least has a crack.

2. Not forecast to be good conditions for a tall, bit if Larkey wanted a chance to make a statement in his long overdue return to AFL, this would be the time to do it. North is praying for a goalkicker.

Pittard has been listed in recent round by round AA teams on the HBF. Hes performing better than a D grader right now.
