Because we are f*cking s**t and our coaching staff are more worried about putting black plastic on the windows at training than if we can kick the ball through the tall sticks

As usual we only have ourselves to blame for this. Our goal kicking is atrocious and has been for years. It’s not at AFL standard and somebody has to do something about it. Bevo pays lip service to it seriously. It’s as clear as day that it holds us back every week and yet nothing is ever done about it. It isn’t unlucky, it’s an example of poor skill development and poor coaching because it continually goes unaddressed. I have had enough and I’m sure every other Bulldogs supporter has also.

We had a good forward coach in 2016, but Bevo decided he was better looking at the magoos, was a poor move, same as pushing Smithy aside for King.

I’m sure I’m not alone in just assuming that we’ll miss any set shot on goal no matter where it is on the ground. It’s just embarrassing now.

What can a specialist goal kicking coach teach Bont that he wouldn’t already know? If anything, it would just make him overthink the set shot surely? My thought is there is no replicating game like conditions.

I’d love for them to be more accurate but I don’t think a specialist goal kicking coach is the sole answer.
