Opinion Round 7 2021 - Liked, Learnt, Hated

Liked - Tim Kelly having a blinder, clawing back some of our percentage.
Learnt - Richmond still the team to beat for mine come September. Melbourne absolutely the real deal but Richmond are just so experienced and can win under any circumstances against anyone. Bevo has a bit of a temper.
Hated - An empty Optus Stadium. Frank Costa passing away, a great man and football person.

Liked: Seeing some fight from North. Stuck with a contender for over a half
Learnt: The gaps have appeared. Tigers and Dees. Then Port and Dogs. Then 5th to 8th.
Hated: The pillars of our great club falling over. Carter resigned, Wells likely the same. Cook gone at years end and now the patriarch dead at 83. Thanks for saving the club Frank.

Learned: A few great guys at work go for Tigers. So don't mind Richmond.
Hated: The guy who is a total knob and reason why I hated Richmond, is coming back to Work this week.

Liked: Nothing about the Dockers
Learned: Fremantle will be bottom 6 again.
Hated: Fremantle performance and the Tiger fan who rubs it in, is coming back to work.

Liked - Winning ugly is still winning - 7-0. North heading in the right direction and a chance against the pies.
Learned - We should have burnt the Richmond corpse when we had the chance. Now they are back.
Hated - Games still be decided by umpires. Gutted for Adam Tomlinson with ACL injury (to be confirmed).

Learned: Collingwood might be cooked, Essendon very inconsistent.
Hated: Injuries sad to see Tomlinson go down.

Learned: good luck picking a rising star this year. Even crop.

Hated: No Thursday night footy. AFL really need to make it a permanent fixture and stop the Saturday congestion of games.

Interested to know why West Coast can't be written off but Port Adelaide can. It was only a week ago that the Eagles had a horror loss themselves - surely that proves that we can't be putting a line through teams after one poor showing at this stage of the year.

What's so bad about fans of a club being positive that their kids were good and having hope for the future even in a loss? Would you prefer them to sulk, blame the umpiring and call for ruttens head?

Liked: stringing together a solid 4 quarter effort and putting our cross town rivals to the sword for the 11th time.

Hated: not much, tbh. Was a good round results wise for me...except would've liked the Dogs to get up but kudos to Richmond.

Learnt: we have some quality youngsters and depth...or Freo are just that bad. Still think we haven't proven ourselves as contenders, but at least the season is rolling on.

Bulldogs are good but Richmond still the team to beat. North are actually kind of decent for being 18th and winless and Collingwood are well and truly cooked.
