Might even score the Hawks a little down on confidence if they come in off two losses since their best mid in Day has come out. I know it was Essendon at home but the manner we went about it was clearly our strongest effort so far under Mini. Club will be a happier and hungrier place to be this week.

We’ll go across with a little pep in our step, a young team with nothing to lose. Could be fun. Hope Grego comes in, is hard as and has a fantastic winning attitude
Shades of 2023 v Dogs maybe 👀

History says we'll be flat and disinterested after a good effort.

Let's break the trend please
This.

We seem to play high octane footy once a month. Very rarely, if ever do we string two strong performances in a row.

Hawks always smash us, hoping we can take some belief from this game and be competitive.

Won't do IN's until the WAFL game, but Allen is coming back regardless.

OUT: Dewar, Hunt, Duggan (managed 👀)

Dewar has been steadily getting worse each week and could do finding some form against easier opponents. Could always switch him with Gross as sub.

Hunt has sucked for some time. Kicking that goal really shouldn't save him from how poor he's been. Just bad skills and a momentum killer.

Ginbey isn't in my outs, but that's another player I feel is kinda going backwards since the start of the season as well. Wouldn't mind adjusting his role. 8 touches isn't enough involvement for a player of his calibre.

Oscar should go to full back... but I dont think he has the courage to do it :(

IN: Allen, Brock, Grego
OUT: H.Edwards, A.Reid, Davis

Harry has no natural matchup against Hawthorn. He was absolutely pantsed today and needs to learn to not play behimd the massive full forwards all the time.

The other change makes me sick to my stomach but its going to happen :(

Davis was good but I still want more grunt in the middle and Duggan/Kelly pushed to a wing moreso and that move can hopefully make it happen

Need to wait until the WAFL game, injury report, and MRO report, but in an ideal world no changes.

Need to reward form after our best game of the season, & the mix just felt right.

Unfortunately it sounds like Allen with be bought in for someone (Probably A Reid) and that is a thought that doesn’t sit well with me.

Exactly. It is one thing to cower to the media and say, "We'll bring Allen back in," but who goes out for him? On form, he doesn't deserve a spot and could upset the balance of the team.

I just can't stand Duggan and Owies. I'd rather have Cole and one of Johnston/Grego/Malakai/Bo or even Petch instead of duggan and owies

What’s the Harley incident people are concerned about?

Dependent on how this afternoon goes obviously, but…
Out: A.Reid (“managed”), Edwards, Dewar
In: Allen, Brock, Long?

Allen for A.Reid who can have a freshen up, and we can put off the decision on which forward misses out for another week.

Brock for Edwards who was poor, and isn’t a great matchup for Chol,

Gross back into the 22, Hutch pushed out to a wing, Long or someone else who plays well today to sub.

Duggan reminds me of Gaff in that he's stopped doing the things that he was good at and that worries me because if he's pretty limited in other areas.
He should relinquish the Captaincy next year or decline if he gets voted in , will not look great for the team if he is playing WAFL ..

Heard at the game that he hadn't been seen at the club since Monday. Maybe he was going to get dropped ?

In all seriousness, it’s much more likely the club has given him a week off to get some clear air and do a soft reset after a really tough couple of weeks.

I think the club would still rather keep him ultimately.

Any chance we could push Kelly out to a wing before Hutch? Hutch is better inside and we have to phase Kelly out anyway.

Owies still doesn't do enough for me , he hit two perfect passes but he just doesn't get the ball much and doesn't hit the scoreboard. Cripps and him play similar we can't have both playing.

Like to see Gross and Grego in, might be bit early for Allan.
If Harley gets done for the hit, we got Hewett without all the sh*t!

Out: Owies, Archer Reid, Cripps
In: Grego, O. Allan, Cole.

Sub: Champion

Hutch into the forward line. He could would be a hybrid 3rd tall / pressure forward.

Liam Baker into the forward line, Cole back into the team if his wafl form warrants it.

Cripps unlucky, laid 6 tackles but just feel he has lost that yard of pace needed for the new game plan.

Archer Reid back to 2s for a spell after some fantastic glimpses in his first few games, great effort laying 5 tackles for the big man.

Oscar Allan the new swing man.

Will be at least one change given McQualter has declared Allen a certain starter next week with Archer Reid likely to be the unlucky omission to make way. Unless we go back to the 4 tall setup in which case Owies would be in danger of losing his spot - hopefully we don’t though as that makes us too tall

Other than that changes will depend on who puts their hand up today but the following players might be nervous-
• Owies is struggling to have a significant impact and if Brockman can back up last week’s game that seems an obvious change
• Dewar has come off the boil a little of late as young players can do so maybe he makes way for Grego, potentially as the sub
• Edwards or Brock, Brock or Edwards - does the merry go round continue

Injuries aside I wouldn’t be looking at any other changes - Davis did enough to get another game and surely Gross goes back into the 22 after being managed as the sub this week
