As an opposition supporter, i thought Francis looked very promising, but possibly needs to improve his fitness. We also got the WCE treatment from the umps (unbelievably good ride) which is certainly not the norm and in the end we had fresher legs and Ross also made some tactical moves both of which paid massive dividends.
It was probably more that we got the Essendon treatment than you got The West Coast treatment.
What he said.

It isn't a coincidence that you always get the "West Coast treatment" when we play you save the year that didn't matter.

Last 5 years (Frees for):
2017 Freo 21 - Ess 12
2016 Freo 24 - Ess 23
2015 Freo 20 - Ess 8
2014 Freo 18 - Ess 6
2013 Freo 26 - Ess 19

Who making excuses.

You said good teams still win.
Prove it, who are these good teams that have won more than 1 game, playing 3 games in 13 days.
If you play three Saturdays in a row, isn't that 3 games in 14 days?

You coming to tanked this week?

Would love to mate but it'll have to wait until I'm back in Melbourne. Currently living in Sydney. Otherwise I'd be there with bells on!

Perhaps later in the year if there's another one and I'm in town for the game.

So in reading the autopsies following our losses - in combination we cannot win when:
1. It's raining enough to make it a wet football contest
2. The temperature is above 25 degrees
3. Backing up under 6 days
4. Travelling against quality opposition

Thankfully we are not playing in China as we'd probably also struggle with the smog!

Looking ahead under the above criteria:

Geelong - 6 day break night match outdoors likely to rain - can't win
West Coast - 8 day break indoors - we should win
Richmond - 6 days night match outdoors likely to rain - can't win
GWS - 7 days outdoors but interstate - can't win
Port - 7 days indoors - we should win
Sydney - 13 days outdoors but interstate - can't win
Brisbane - 9 days indoors should win
Collingwood - 6 days outdoors can't win
St Kilda - 6 days can't win
NM - 8 days indoors should win
WB - 8 days indoors gives us hope
Carlton - 6 days outdoors can't win
Adelaide - 7 days indoors gives us hope
GC - 7 days outdoors interstate - can't win
Freo - indoors likely to be at least 7 days should win

This is gives us only 7 chances of winning

Reckon most of us will be satisfied with 7 more wins which will give us 10 for the season.

Apparently since stats are readily available watching of the actual game is not required any more!
