I've had a pretty good run.

1. Cox (166)
2. Cox (146)
3. Shaw (149)
4. Shaw (120)
5. Judd (167)
6. Shaw (129)
7. Pavlich?

Managed to dodge a few awful scores, though McLeod is easily my most consistent >100er yet I've barely considered him.

Holly crap you've had a good run with captains.

I started off ok like you in the first two weeks I picked cox. Then went with chad the next few and then judd last week.

Mixed bag for me. Going the pav this week although tempted to pick judd too.

Ive had

  1. Franklin-138
  2. Brown-92
  3. Cornes-176
  4. Brown-138
  5. Brown-37
  6. Brown-57
Had a decent start, but have drifted off in past 2 weeks

Nice!:thumbsu:

My run with choosing captains hasn't been too flash.

Round 1 - Dal Santo - 145
Round 2 - Riewoldt - 80
Round 3 - Riewoldt - 65
Round 4 - Pavlich - 113
Round 5 - Shaw - 28
Round 6 - Hayes - 123

I can't choose between Pavlich and Hayes. Hayes is safer but Pavlich has the potential to score higher. Thoughts?

Ive had;

Round 1- Pavlich (190)
Round 2- Cox (292)
Round 3- Corey (254)
Round 4- Pavlich (226)
Round 5- Cornes (170)
Round 6- Franklin (76) :o

Those are their final scores as Captain btw. :thumbsu:

I'm going with suprise suprise, Ablett again.

I don't think he will have a bad a week as last. The umpires will look for close illegal tagging so he might rack up a few points in free kicks and I'm sure he will get lots of the ball as usual.

Same can be said for any midfielder that gets heavily tagged.

what are your thoughts on O'keefe for captain??
He is my highest point scorer to date and seem to play well at the SCG, they're playing Western Bulldogs who would be likely to play on him?

im thinking i might go nick stevens this week. reckon they will have spent all week trying to work out how to stop judd and might forget about stevens who is now overdue for a big one

Just tell me who your picking!! :p

Can't go past Pav. The dockers have a pretty good record at the G and Pav will destroy Carrol, Rivers or anyone they put on him.

Only problem with Pav is that rain is forcast for Sunday and that might put me off.I reckon Reiwoldts a good show.Playing indoors against an ordinary backline like Richmonds i reckon he could be due for a big score

I reckon the Hawks will be putting some work into curbing Heath Shaw's influence this week. I reckon its between Goodes, Pav and whatever cat midfielder you happen to have.

If Goodes can get 150+ against an accountable outfit like the roos he should be good for 200 odd against the wooly bullies.

Who do you think i should choose as captain??

Dal Santo
Kornes
Franklin
Pavlich
H.Shaw
N.Stevens
O'Keefe

I'm leaning towards Shaw or Pavlich, what are peoples thoughts on Dal Santo this weekend? Or even Buddy? Kornes could be seriously considered too?

what are your thoughts on these players?? thanks in advance for any advice.. and good luck! :D

you've got steel nuts if you pick buddy. Think Pav is safest...

Actually forgot about Mcloed?? He is my secornd highest scorer behing O'Keffe?? Still think Pav is the go?? I like his chances this week but this is always the hardest decision of the week!

Goodes had his score pumped thanks to his score assist to Kirk whioch drew the game. Remember Palmer jumping from 60 to 100 after a couple of score assists to Pav last week? Same thing.

still its pav tho hes a superstar!!! :)

I've pretty much got a no key forward captain policy this year. Pav might fire, should fire, i hope he fires because I have him but someone did an analysis about Melbourne keeping key forwards reasonably quiet last week and Browny did suck balls against them.

My marshmellow balls will not allow me to pick Pav.

Hayes for me.

I'm choosing between:
-Shaw: has been ultra consistent, but Hawks are a good team and may put some effort into stopping his influence.

- Mitchell: seems pretty safe, should get somewhere around 110-130 against the pies you'd think.

- Cox: Is he over his injury? At home rucking against Cloke and Kreuzer if he's getting near full fitness he should bounce back in a big way.

- Pavlich: going alright, but I prefer captains who arent travelling. Against Melbourne its hard to see him not getting 100+, if goals aren't forthcoming he'll roam into the midfield and cause havoc.

With Proud and Thompson filling in in the backline this week I'll need a big score from my captain, so will probably need to take a little risk. Otherwise would go Mitchell. hmm

Choice between Ablett, Pavlich, Shaw and Buddy.

Definately Ablett...I think. Bomber Thompson said this week words to the effect of how he'd hate to be the bloke playing on Yablett this week. I s'pose this means bugger all really, but I wouldn't mind betting Gazza won't have 2 ordinary weeks in a row.

If I had Judd I'd be seriously considering him too. Despite Stenglein, he should be primed for a monster against WC.

Having trouble splitting Cross, Shaw, Pav and Mitchell.

Will probably go Mitchell ... I get the feeling that if everyone reckons Pav will rip it up against Melbourne he will probably fail

Lots of people said Brown couldnt have 2 bad weeks in a row and he did...Me being one of those

Plus apparently he has a calf injury
