Looks like the great man will be back this week so that's who i'll be going :thumbsu:

EDIT : made a mistake with Pendles last score. It was actually 147, can a mod pls fix?

definitely gablett if he's named. its possible to be worried about the article on afl.com where they say he will play more off the ball now that the younger mids are earning some trust, but come on, he'll still pump out 140+ most weeks.

I'm honestly laughing at the people who traded Ablett out. I made that mistake in a previous year. Good luck wasting 2 trades to get him back in.

Actually with his price it will effectively be 3 trades when you look at the scheme of things.

i traded Gaz out, but it brought me pendlebury who has scored 140 and 145 since. So more than happy to now have pendles

Im goign to watch Gaz for 2-3 weeks before i bring him back in. If he plays a big chunk forward till he is 100% his scores may drop...from 160 to 130:eek::p

likewise im laughing at the ones who held onto him, having $721000 sitting on the bench. ive taken the opportunity to do what i was going to do many weeks from now, and upgrade mid priced defenders to quality, consistent high scoring defenders. should gazza return to form, i will then consider upgrading the one mid priced mid i have left to him. unlike many ive escaped the injury nightmare this year, only been forced to trade twice. it was a luxury i could afford.

one of us is about to be proven right. :thumbsu:

I've been in your situation previously and good luck with trying to get him back in.
On the bolded part. Gazza is never out of form.

The people who held onto him are likely to gain about 600 more points in the next 4 weeks better off than anybody else, if you can work that out. Unless of course he get's injured again or the off chance that he turns up with binoculars. Time will tell though.

Gaz will not score 150 pts A WEEK MORE than pendlbury (who i and assume alot of people brought in for him)

they will most likley break even, but even if gaz does score more than pendles over the next 4, it will likley be by 20 pts each week tops. given pendlebury scored 80 pts more than my bench option of magner in both weeks, the 160 pts i have gained in these last two weeks will cover the possible 20-30 ablett may score over pendlebury...And thats even if Gaz does outscore him.

I traded a rookie for Pendlebury and kept Ablett which is what i was alluding to.
Where the majority would of traded Pendlebury for Ablett.

So now i've got both.

Pendles, i'll wait until after the bye to get Gaz back. He surely cant rise anymore in price :o

Break Even of 111 probably says otherwise, :p

I'll be going with Pendles, simply because I won’t have Ablett back till next week. God Damn Goodes, screwed my plans up royally!

I see him kicking 5 and getting 30 touches, if he plays just half the time forward. Fingers crossed on him kicking the winning score too. Sooo many bonus points!

Any chance Raines does a tagging job on Pendles?

Not sure it would matter, Selwood still managed 113 on him in a monsoon, so there is every chance the Pendles will shake him anyways.

Only managed 18 disposals though.

Raines restricted Pendles to just 108 last time they played, though he did snare 30 touches so maybe he was down on efficiency and/or contested possessions.

Think Ablett will be my go this week.

Yeah, Raines doesn't really stop them getting possessions if the team wants to funnel them to the player, but he does a good job of making sure they aren't particularly damaging. Ablett got 30-something touches on him, but didn't have a whole lot of impact on the game.

to those that traded out ablett to bring in a pendlebury or something might be alright, they did get pendlebury whilst he bottomed out. the only drawback is the burning of unecessary trades. i'm quietly hoping it will prove to be an advantage later on where i can bring in a premium over someone who might have to sit tight by using the trades on ablett after the bye when trades are starting to run low.

How do u figure they are going to score an extra 600 points? If u traded gaj for pendles and gaj scores 150 for the next 4 weeks and pendles scores 140 for the next 4 weeks your only 40 points down, but then factor in the last 2 weeks of pendles, versus the zero of gaj ( obviously a rookie took his spot) and really points wise its pretty even, just a matter of trades and each persons team structure.... that is if you can work that out????
