The reality is our issues aren't based on personnel, it's more effort based and above the shoulders where our issues lay. We need to make changes yes but our list is hardly filled with spuds.

Out: De boer, Suban, Clarke
In: Ibbotson, Ballantyne, Taberner

sutcliff out for mora, the so called future captains de boer and suban (which i have always found funny from other muppets on here) OUT
for silvia and ibbo and maybe spurr needs a spell in the wafl

He had 20 possessions at 80% efficiency today. Far from our worst.
The following are just struggling:
- Mayne (only a very small bit better - a long way from last years form)
- Suban (looked like RTB gave him a challenge starting him in the middle - must be dropped)
- Sheridan (did nothing in his quarter and a half; needed to do a lot more)
- De Boer (Subbed and those subbed off the last couple of weeks have been dropped)
- Crowley (so many fumbles and off the pace)
- Clarke (very weak effort)

Crozier needs to kick goals but I reckon he had a crack with 6 tackles and some good efforts.

My thoughts:
Out: Suban, De Boer, Sheridan
In: Ibbotson, Ballantyne, Morabito

How can you mention Simpson when he just got suspended. Stupid

Easy. Principles can be broken for necessity.

West Coast won a premiership with a team of drug addicts.
Collingwood had the "rat pack".

Too much is made of culture in football, sure it matters, but not necessarily in the way many think. If a player gives 100% when and if he's on the ground then that's good enough for me (See Ben Cousins, Dane Swan). Bad off field behaviour + general ill-discipline can be tolerated to some degree, and shrewd coaches are able to find a balance.

Enough of the moral posturing. I just want a premiership.

The problem is we have underdone Clarke, and underdone Clancee added to 3 or 4 youngsters who don't have the tank. We should only have 2 youngsters
at most. Neale + 1. It's the bottom end that is killing us. Just like Hawthorn tonight in our attack it was 5 against 2 at one point. 5-2=3 - That is 3 free docker players somewhere on the ground not helping.
Sylvia must come in - He is a mature highly experienced senior player. I don't care if he hasn't been able to snatch the pebble from Master Lyons hand yet
Play him and if he does cut the mustard then drop him from the 22. Is he available next week or the weel after?
I have missed seeing a few quarters but only recall deboer having one shot at goal this year and it went out on the full.

Serving a WAFL suspension still, he can't come in...

Fairly comprehensive list. Spurr and Mzungu also not as good as last year. Sheridan should not be a sub.

Sylvia has to come in. I will be pissed if Ross does this whole "has to prove himself again on the WAFL to think hard about what he has done " of we were sitting top of the ladder then fine, but we need changes. Beggers can't be choosers. I really with Apeness wasn't injured

Why is this thread started straight after the game? We've got no idea who will be available. Even MJ might have a case to answer for his intention to bump Norf player who was being taken out by a physio. I think that fine should be sufficient, but you never know with MRP these days.

In: Sylvia- who gives about discipline crap- play him and tell him perform or else.
Ballas- this guy better has one of the game of his life, his stupidity badly cost the forward pressure tonight.
IBbotson

Outs- Pick any of Suban, Sutcliffe, De Boer, Sheridan and Croizer

Now, exactly what did he do with the ball?

His role isn't as a distributor, its as a lockdown small defender and he's done an exemplary job of this most weeks. Talk about pointing the finger at the wrong guy. How about the guys, you know, actually playing in the midfield? De boer/Mzungu/Pearce/Hill/Crowley all completely ineffectual tonight.

We can talk about mass changes all we want but the fact is we don't have that many options (any?) banging down the door in the WAFL, even at this stage we're probably only looking at one change in addition to Ballas coming in. There is no cavalry coming unfortunately. Need an overhaul of our structures, something needs to change with our forward entries.

It's a good way of containing all the knee-jerk responses to one thread.

That's not really true. There are 3 other guys we could definitely bring in, but Ross Lyon has put a line through them for various reasons.

Josh Simpson - Discipline
Colin Sylvia - Fitness (?)
Anthony Morabito (????)
Matt Taberner - Apparently so lowly rated that Lyon would rather play no forwards at all than play him.

So we are basically cutting off our own nose now to spite our face. As long as Ross asserts his authority though. That's the most important thing. Making the top 4 is much less important than Ross' ego.
