Some of our older players are clearly just about cooked as well. Sidebottom, Howe and Mitchell on their last legs.

Midfield badly beaten. Probably need to make a few hard calls with some older guys in there, lack of acceleration from a few guys obvious with Essendon mids getting space easily.

Absolute crap from us. I am tired of watching us trying to defend for 20 minutes holding on and not trying to win the game. It has to stop, we need to evolve and be better than that. Should have put them away in the last 15 minutes as we are a superior team but instead we just butchered the ball and made shit decisions. Not good enough.

Some of our veterans had stinkers and the ones who were alright in Mihocek, Pendlebury and Elliott had some moments in the last they'd like to have again.

A draw doesn't mean it was a good game. Apart from Elliott's mark, the general football skill from both teams was terrible. Fumbles and missed shots everywhere.

I don't understand what Elliott was doing at HF when he was running around in circles. He had Crisp on his own at CHF, and ran away from him....Crisp gets that ball, he runs inside F50 and has a clear shot at goal... Game Over.....
