Dempsey was very good tonight. Sure, he makes poor defensive judgments at times but his chase downs, smothers, line-breaking runs, and pressure acts were vastly improved. It was very encouraging and I'd suggest that he is working his way into the season nicely. 'Putrid' seems a description you'd only put out there if you have an underlying dislike for a player. Especially when, to the majority of observers, he put in what I'd describe as a 'committed' performance.5. Hurley

Dempsey was putrid.
Not goal side at stoppage that Nahas, too slow hand to foot and disposal was average at best.
Anyone rating his game above Hurley has rocks in thier heads. He is a defender first. His run and dash was improved

Votes for Dempsey are ******* ridiculous. People are getting sucked in by a bit of zip and the odd hard attempt. Must look a million bucks from armchairs because at the ground he is a liability. He struggled to hit targets, he gave his opponents far too much space goal side and gives away stupid frees. The negatives still far out way the positives. Just because he's gone from extremely shit to less shit it doesn't mean he deserves votes.
