is it? now they will probably all fired up and out for redemption against us :/
This theory might ring true for good teams who have an outlier loss, but it definitely doesn't for teams that have won 4 out of their last 60 games.

Don’t think it matters. With Jones now likely to miss in addition to McGovern, Kreuzer, Simpson etc., it would take an unprecedented calamity to lose to them. Full strength and fired up and they might knock some sides off, but I can’t see it right now.

What's the prognosis for McGovern, Newman, Simpson and Kreuzer? Are they still likely to miss?

I stand by it. At some point any decent human would feel sorry for the crap the supporters have to deal with.

A competitive Carlton and a competitive Collingwood at the same time is good for the league.
NO NO NO - I am prepared to work at and remain / indeed enhance my capacity to be indecent when it comes to Carlton - I recall with deep dread their gloating over us (eg 1979 GF to name only ONE of many instances) - the universe experiences a sustained moral uplift while those bast*^ds languish at the bottom of the ladder
