Which of these two options would you take?

Ablett -> Swan (got bartel)
Raines -> Mackie
+50K

OR

Beams -> Coughlan (Ablett benched)
Raines -> Mackie
+1K

Tough choice, Coughlan looks to be pretty good. If he keeps his Ave you will gain around 75k over the next two weeks as opposed to the 50k from trade 1.

Though your midfield will not be as potent short term.

If you want better score go option 1....if you want cash go option 2. That's my opinion anyway.

Have to cop a zero in the mids this week. What a mess :(

One zero is nothing:)

My side has Petrenko, Houlihan and Raines in defence = probably 1 zero

Ablett, Hartlett, Beams and L Anthony in mids = 2 zero's

Ottens, Meesun and Jacobs in Ruck = 1 zero

J Anthony, Gartlett and Skippy in Fwds = 1 zero

:mad: What a nightmare. I ended up making two trades just to make my score semi respectable and give myself a 1% chance of an eliminator win :)

Bought in Roughy for Anthony and Cox for Ottens.

Lost a fair bit of cash with those trades. Not sure if they were a good move or not but decided to take a chance.

Cheers mate. Im thinking I may save a trade using option 2 as Cogs may become my 6th mid if all goes well. Just hate having 0 dollars in the bank, and injury usually means a double trade.

The good news is when Houlihan is back I will have no back rookies haha.

greenwood being dropped will hurt some plans. was gunna fix my zero in the backline (raines!) this week but now houlihan got drop wtf! I really am preying on cheney to get a gig!

This week for me

Beams -> cockie
Raines -> Geary/Mcmahon/292K or lower??

or

Beams -> cockie

following week ( if raines doesnt get pick)
Robinson -> rookie
Raines -> 360K

Should i use the 3 trades to upgrade raines or just the 2 and settle on a geary or someone else?? Also for option 2, should i do 2 DG in the first week or keep it as it is?
I really am in trouble here, got any suggestions??

Yeah I know what you mean, always good to have a bit of cover in the bank.

Unless Houlihan is injured he should be back next week or the week after at latest. IMO Ratten is giving him a kick up the backside to work harder during games, which would mean more tackles :D

ok im thinking of 2 options atm

my midfield curently stands as this
ablett, power, rich, gibbs, ray, t tuck
i have 55k in bank

option 1
ablett out swan in

next week

cash in on beams and in a couple of weeks when abletts back and drops in price upgrade tuck to ablettt

option 2
ablett out coughlan in

when coughlan has peaked trade him back for ablett, and upgrade tuck to bartel/swan

currently im leaning towards 2 but what do you think?

Electing to keep all of Raines, Anthony, Garlett, Skipworth and Ottens was a bit silly IMO. Leave yourself wide open to get into situation like this.

Bit the bullet and took the chance on trading Ablett, who went out for Sewell my big smokie who i predicted would have a break out DT year from the start of the season.

May come back to bite me, but in the grand schemes of my trading, if all goes to plan i will get Ablett back into my side once he returns from injury. Also i'd initially planned to trade in Sewell anyway, so in effect if Ablett didn't get injured i'd have traded out the rising Tuck for him. Thus, if i am able to shore up enough money from my cashcows i'll hopefully bring back Ablett for Tuck.

So rather than Tuck -> Sewell, it'll now be Ablett -> Sewell + 94k, Tuck -> Ablett.

I also traded in Gilbert at the expense of Petrenko, who has been hanging onto his spot in the Crows side by the skin of his teeth anyway, and if he isn't dropped this week will be out of the side very soon i predict. Besides, i was frustrated with the lack of gametime Craig was giving him, which contributed to his low scores.

This gives me a backline of:

Goddard, Lockyer, Cornes, Fisher, Hodge, Gilbert, Hill. :)

So, in summary for this weeks trading:

Ablett -> Sewell.
Petrenko -> Gilbert. :thumbsu:

NEXT WEEK:
Beams/Barham -> 94k player.
Skippy -> Buddy.

Gah! Why couldn't Houlihan be dropped next week.

Was planning on offloading him next week for a Pavlich or Steve Johnson. Figured this week would be his last big price rise as he still has one week of the 120 in his rolling average.

Have Warren on the bench so things could be worse.

I made the same call, but actually had the balls to pick him from the start of the season, and right I'm very pleased with my decision!

Hmmm houlihan. Got suban covering, so I think i will hold, particularly when he probably has another 30k or so to rise, and im not certain of my upgrade targets yet (hodge out of form, fisher injury cloud etc).

It will mean playing hill, rance (for raines) and suban (for houlihan) and two rookies in the mids. Ouch!

A zero in the backs (houlihan/raines/broughton), hill, otten, zaha, zero in the mids (beams/hartlett/robinson), brown, walker

So two zeros and 5 rookies. Will probably trade down Robinson and upgrade Houlihan to avoid the two zeros though, which will mean playing 6 rookies.

Not too bad actually. :thumbsu: Thank god Simmonds is back

Essendon
B: Cale Hooker, Tayte Pears, Henry Slattery
HB: Courtenay Dempsey, Adam McPhee, David Myers
C: Ricky Dyson, Brent Stanton, Angus Monfries
HF: Jason Winderlich, Matthew Lloyd, Sam Lonergan
F: Bachar Houli, Jay Neagle, Alwyn Davey
Foll: Patrick Ryder, Jobe Watson, Andrew Lovett
I/C: Nathan Lovett-Murray, Heath Hocking, David Zaharakis, Tom Bellchambers
Emg: Jay Nash, Tom Williams, Tyson Slattery

In: Neagle, Bellchambers, Houli
Out: Dustin Fletcher (leg), Scott Lucas, Leroy Jetta (knee)

At a glance I thought that was a 7 man bench. Some long names in theer

seriously considering picking up ryder in the backs - trading out houlihan

he could average 85 playing in the ruck

watched him last week - his mobility around the ground was good. his engine will pick up - he ran out of puff last week.

will free up some cash allowing me to do an upgrade in the forwards

something like

Houlihan -> Ryder
Cloke -> Brown, J

it does break my rule of only trading to rookies or keepers, but paddy "could" be a keeper. hmmmm
