Now Ablett in doubt the 4 horseman are riding this week if all these rumours pan out.

Might be too late with this, but:
Weit either one to keep until late in season (good average, reliable, good JS) or to move this week / next in case of need.
If you have Shaw, are going Smith and passing on Cox (I likely will, too, but because I want to bring Shaw in), would go Ward first as there will be several DEF prem dropping in price in the next couple of weeks.
TLDR: Ward sounds good in that context.
Yep, already have Shaw, and Rance to come back in next week. Think I might go down the Ward path this week

Help quick! I need a premo mid since Mitchell is out (Trading Davis). Can afford anyone.

Shortlist:
Parker (Looks obvious but can't trust he'll be this good all season)
Hannebery (Leaning towards him, - safest mid in the game)
Ward (Lovely player - slight POD, nto sure he keeps his 120 average all season)

Couple of PODs:
Dayne Beams (Back this week, injury prone, less than half a percent of people have him)
Pearce Hanley (Averaging 110 - can I trust that he'll keep it up?)

Davis > Hannas
Can't go wrong there

Trade. Jesse Lonergan or Tippa? One will be on field down back this week...who is likely to score more?

If I upgraded this week and only left myself ~$35k in the kitty, is this shooting myself in the foot for a couple of weeks?
Maybe, you'll just have to work out how much you have when culling your rookies. Say 2 x 350k rooks or mid pricers gone bad plus your 35K then yes you could probably get who you want with a one up one down, but if you have to get rid of say Davis, Menadue, you probably would not have enough.

i would not like to look at my team and see lonergan.
trade the spud

He got the cull, one up one down leaves me with $71k in the bank. My mids are super thin though esp with SMitchell out this week. Gaz, Jelwood, Pendels, Libba, Kerridge, Mills, Oliver, JSmith. YUK

But to get JSmith and Dusty had to move on Lonergan & Weitering with some DPP movement. Coudn't get JSmith and then upgrade a MID unless I traded out somebody not injured

Trades are doing my head in a bit this week. I'm pretty much set on Weitering to Smith. That leaves me with $441,200 in the bank. The 2nd trade is what I'm really undecided on.

I'm half thinking of passing on M.Cox at this stage. To bring him in I really need to go Goetz -> Cox for him to be of any value ie Ruck cover. But he'll be coming in to sit at R3 only. If I bring him into the forward line, I don't get ruck cover anyway and I can probably cover his points with any numbert of Forward rookies. Seems a bit of a nothing trade (Unless of course one of Goldy/NN misses.)

Other options I've considered are bringing in a DEF premo (Boyd or Simpson), or a MID premo (probably Ward) for BK or Tippa. My back line is weak with Rance on the bench this week hence the thought of a premo there. Either way it will leave me with an extra rookie playing somewhere and to be honest, I doubt points wise it will make much of a difference. I'm leaning towards bringing in the MID which I think will give the better overall result. ie Ward and Hartley on the field V Simpson/Boyd and Ben Kennedy.

The other reason I'm thinking of bolstering the Mids, is that I reckon finishing the MIDs off early will result in more points overall. Defenders can be bought in any time, usually for around $500K or less. I may even leave the defence till last.

A bit long winded, but any thoughts?

Glad I'm not the only one around here not taking cox, everyone else seems to be falling over themselves to get cox.

Not that there's anything wrong with that

How the **** did Lonergan get a 96 in the first round???
Only played 3qtrs. Went off with a head injury. I've been trying to get rid of the spud for the past 3 weeks but something else seems to pop up and the campaigner survives the chop.
