I have a theory it is kind of a question as well. So sit tight, ladies and gentlemen.

I am one to plan for the future in this game. I am currently ranked in top 1500. I want to keep my rank, so I need to make smart trades.
I like everyone else has Tom Liberatore, he is averaging 89. Which IMO is well below and is not a keepers average.

I am considering down grading Liberatore into Josh Smith, giving me 412k in the kitty. With that amount left I will be trading Weitering into Shaw. Leaving me with 189k in the kitty. Josh Smith has shown he is a very capable player at this level in his two games so far. I personally see him making upwards of 200k if his form stays true.

Going by my estimates Ben Kennedy SHOULD get his B/E and raise 7-10k. I will probably downgrade him into Petracca giving me 491k.
I will then upgrade Dea who will probably decrease 12-15k giving me a grand total of 780k to upgrade Dea into McVeigh. Leaving me with 284k to upgrade anyone into Priddis who will decrease in value by time this is all said and done.

Of course this is all perfect world.

Thoughts?

How dumb are the people that write the SC player comments? According to them I need to trade out the following players:

Adams
Liberatore
Kennedy
Davis

And then hold on to this guy for just a bit longer to make some cash:
Wells

Dear SC advice spuds:

Liberatore is averaging 95, scored 70 in a game where he only got touches in the teens, and is playing for a side where other mids are being moved to the HBF to cover injuries. Unless you are rolling in it he should be considered a keeper until a continued run of poor form demonstrates otherwise. His previous worst score was an 82.

Adams has a breakeven lower than his worst score for the year. Yes, he might need to move on eventually if he doesn't return to scoring big, but if he's your biggest problem then you're smashing it. He is still a top 20 defender by average, so you're going to get greater advantage upgrading elsewhere.

Kennedy just got his best score for 4 weeks and finally has a chance to add some more money on, if you've held on to him this long why blink now? His breakeven is now down around his lowest score, so there's almost no risk he will lose money and a chance he will gain again, even a lot if he turns out a big game.

Davis has a breakeven of 42, which he very well might not make, but who cares. He's made almost no money yet anyhow. Unless you have literally nothing else to do, and no need for loopholes, you're better off holding him for VC/EMG antics, or waiting for the one week where he gets a decent score and ride that out for another 50k+ cash before trading.

Wells is currently the 7th best forward in the league, a keeper by any stretch. Why focus on how much money he has made?

Say goodbye to the top 1500.

Trade our Dea and Kennedy before you touch Liberatore. Don't trade in Priddis. Don't get McVeigh unless he demonstrates improved scoring, he is very average at the moment.

I see the logic but I still wouldn't do it. In order to move up the ranks you need to take risks like that, but I just don't have the balls for anything like that. Good luck, I hope it works out :thumbsu:

I do, it is a high risk big reward. All Smith needs to do is average as much as Liberatore and its a win win.

A Matt Priddis under 500k and you are saying no, you've lost your marbles.

Sydney have a really good run, so I have no issues bringing him in.
