I think you are right mate.

T.Kelly will always be more easier to bring in than the seagull.

I just realised that I can use Scrimshaw to upgrade to the seagull instead of Duursma as he is worth more so shouldn't be a problem getting him in. :)
Lloyd unlikely to ever go above 620k and if so, not for long.

Forward rookies are a piece of shit (except Drew). Upgrade there first.

Mid and Def rookies are scoring well enough to field.

I'll actually consider him in a few weeks if he drops further (BE of 112, so he should) and I have a trade spare. Will be decent F3/F7 cover for the year and will most likely play 22 games. Lobb and Lycett the other options for R3/F7 cover, but they're most expensive

ROB to Westhoff for a profit in a month?
Could even end up being an easy trade in for Drew should he start to falter? If he drops low enough I'll definitely trade the Hoff in.
Wait. What? 47, 39, 49, 67 and you think he’s a good trade in?

What’s occurred to make you think he’ll suddenly start doubling his output?

Wouldn’t it be safer to assume 2018 was one out of the bag? Godly style!

Obviously would need to see some better scoring, even just a few 70s and 80s, but if he drops to $350k I would 100% consider him
Ruck cover is always a bonus

If he gets to 87 or 91 by the end of the season then he'll be worth bringing in cheap as it's a vast improvement on his current scoring

Remember our shitfight on Riewoldt last year?

You're bringing them in on what they can do, not what they have already done

For my F6 position i think i might trade in a cheap key forward then same for F7 and loop them each week. Thoughts?
Probably a bit early in the season to bring in cheap donuts. We need scoring rookies on our benches to generate cash at the moment

I'll look at the boys playing their 2nd game if they 1. do well this weekend and 2. keep their spots for a 3rd. That's:

Mitch Lewis, Hawks, $149k fwd
Will Hayes, Dogs, $117k mid
Lachlan Young, Dogs, $120k def
James Rowbottom, Swans, $117k mid

Only $2,900 in the bank, so the only way I'm forcing a trade is with something like:
Constable -> Hayes
Moore -> Kelly/Daniel

Otherwise I'll look at a "rookie correction" trade with Bailey Scott who looks to be done. Clark not playing this week and with a BE of 43 and Tuohy back, he may be finished

Balta gone the week after for Larkey or Corbett. Hopefully anyway...

I didn't take Ross because I was convinced Hately would stick around, so that stings, but not the end of the world

My D/F5-6 and M7-8 and bench is looking alright at the moment, so I probably don't need to force anything:

Scrimshaw, Hore (Duursma, Clark)
Walsh, Constable (Atkins, Stack, Scott)
(O'Brien)
Moore, Drew (Balta, Bines)

Bines at F8 is killing, especially because I have Balta at F7. In a few weeks I want to cash in on ROB (will hit $400k at this rate) and move Bines back to R3, then bring in a ruck/fwd (Lobb, Westhoff or Lycett)
Balta is your issue there

It just occurred to me that a lot of us who passed on Ross (myself included) were going to do Atkins > Hately next week which would have netted only 100k towards an upgrade which is now on the back burner. But if Constable plays this week and goes up in price by 40k as projected, a Constable > Ross trade would bring in around 120k for a similar scoring M8. I don't like bringing in rookies after they've had their first price rise, but Ross is on-field worthy, only going to cost 30-35k more than Hately and 15k more than ppl paid for FP Baker this round. Food for thought.

Funny, I was contemplating Atkins to Ross earlier. Bank 50k. Ross would be M9 tho.

In hindsight LDU to Ross was the move rather than spud Lockhart.

I don't mind it. It's no different to those who traded Parker > Baker this week for only 50k profit to be their F7. They're all pretty chuffed with their downgrade.

Lel, he could work too I guess if you were game enough, thank **** I Rougheaded Heeney with Darling 2 weeks ago :)

I think Westys DPP and durability is valuable, just needs to change role again to what he was doing last year and then it's happy days

I've got ROB too for ruck coverage for now, but I'm not a fan of loopholing in other positions aside from the rucks and ROBs main worth is the potentially enormous cash generation he'll generate until the byes or whenever Sauce returns. I can't see him lasting the year for me at R3 so Binesy or another RF rookie with the best late fixture regularly playing after say the likes of Grundy/Gawn will come in once ROB is done one way or another

All of Lycett, Westhoff and Lobb interest me as F6-7/R3 coverage though, just picking the right one is the thing
