i must say, i am really suprised at how many are going to get ibbotson/armitage as CASH COWS! theyre about 50k dearer than ur 90k debutant such as s browne, wait a week, save yourself 50k for a player who is in your team for the exact same purpose - makin cashola
1

ye but ibbotson is set to rise much higher than browne...most probably by more than 50k

i was lucky and picked ibbo b4 he rose ...so happy bout that:)

any saints supporters can tell me whether R. Harvey is a good pick? (285000)
Eg. Is he 1st to get tagged?
limited TOG?

I'm no saints supporter, but i think robert harvey's 50th is not too far off, and i've heard his hamstrings are like tissues, just rumours tho.

MAJOR DILEMMA

Should I trade either Symes (B/E 69) ($326,200) (Av 77) ( More players to compete with for the ball)

or Newman (B/E 109) ($316,500) (Av 74) (With bowden out, should get more of the ball)

for Goddard/S Fisher/ P Burgoyne (I have Chad also)/ Gilbee

So yeh which one out of Symes and Newman and who for ($357,600 when trading Symes), (347,900 with Newman so cant afford P Burgoyne)

Im thinking its Mortons turn to get cashed in... My question in long term consequences is should i go Browne next week or Should i wait for Cotchin who seems like he will be a gun... Im not sure who to trade hill for however he may be good backup for J Brown so ill keep him this week...

I think i might just hold tight this week, i have 22 playing so its better than most hey..

My backline at the moment is C.Cornes, Shaw, Bowden, Goddard, Birchall, Symes and Bradshaw. Need to trade Bowden this week, don't have cover for him and will screw up my two planned trades for next week. I think Burgoyne is the best choice looking at the options that i have at the moment (did score 95 last week). There are other choices that i would consider, King, Milburn, McLeod maybe even Welsh. How would your rank the players i have the choices from?
1. Burgoyne/Milburn
2. McLeod
3. King

Burgoyne was great last season, but has been sub-par so far this season and I'm not totally convinced. Although, in his defence, all of the premium backmen have been down on average so I guess we can cut him some slack.
Its a toss-up between Burgs and Milburn for mine, since you already have Goddard and Birchall.

They could both possibly be keepers, but if you are keen to trade i would stick with symes for now as he had 1 poor score, but before that had two great scores, so even with players returning i think it may be too early to write him off. His BE certainly looks to be in sight more than Newman's.

If you don't rate Newman, Newman to Goddard may be considered an upgrade and worth it, although Newman may play more of a rebound role as the tigers sort themselves out

Don't trade Newman, with the limited number of decent backs around he is a keeper.

Who would you get:

1. Armitage and Goddard
or
2. Ibbotson and Scotland

Thoughts?

Any opinions on which may be a better trade? I am very keen to get rid of Griffen as his price seems set to plummet.

Option 1:

Bowden > Goddard
Griffen > Swan

Option 2:

Bowden > Milburn
Griffen > Kornes

Fall short of getting goddard and kornes, just keen to rid myself of Griffen even though Swan and Milburn are yet to bottom out.

Excactly what is wrong with your team?

Only possibility i can see is downgrade morton to a new cash cow, and upgrade ellis to a premium

Problems:
Who to trade Morton for (armitage?)
Which premium to upgrade to
and
Pfieffer is not getting a game

I had no intention of trading this week, but I'm fed up with Bowden and don't want to play a man down so will be pulling the trigger on him.

Best option I can see is to downgrade him to Goddard, leaving me with over 200k in the salary cap.

My next 3 major upgrades need to be Gibbs, Houli and Nathan Thompson (not necessarily in that order). Can anyone tell me Gibbs' break even score this week? Surely the 140 as shown on fanfooty is incorrect...!!

Who do you think is the most necessary to upgrade out of those 3? I'm leaning towards Gibbs, but really need their respective correct break even scores before I make a final decision.

Will be able to trade Gibbs for Kane and still have 70k left over if I decide to go down that path.

Thoughts?

Would appreciate some advice.

he might almost get that againest the bombers if no one mans up on him

symes---->burgoyne...this week or next week??

Next week, if symes gets 60 which is likely he will go down about 5k, not worth it as P. Burgoyne may only get 70 and go down another 15k.

If you think Purgoyne is going to chop, go for it, but i would wait.

B/E's from Too Serious are:

Gibbs: 45
Houli: 49
Thompson: 50

All of them are likely to reach, so none of them are critical.

Kornes is predicted to go up about 15k this week so you could trade either gibbs or houli to him, whichever you prefer.

I would rather cop 1 or 2 0s then trade Chad

Burgoyne will be mixed based on the half back tag but it doesn't really matter when you're holding all year, it's all about the average. The other option is McLeod who has been very solid from Rd 2 onwards except when KCornes sat on him as per usual in the showdown. He does get tagged but is used to it and with his skills consistently shakes it.

1. Burgoyne/Milburn
2. McLeod
3. King

Thanks guys, think i'll lean towards either Burgoyne or Milburn, which was what i was thinking before hand. Consistent vs Inconsistent

Thanks for that mate.

Looking at those B/E's, as you said, none of them are critical and are all likely to reach them this week. Thompson would be the most doubtful but he should definitely be able to manage it.

I'll definitely do the Bowden to Goddard trade this week, but I might just wait another round before bringing in Kane (so will trade him in in 2 weeks time because of the Hall of Fame match)

As you said, Kane is predicted to go up about 15k this week but I'm pretty confident that both Houli and Gibbs will be able to rise around that amount too. Gibbs the more likely out of the 2 to give way for Kane at the moment.
