Round 7 Trades

Wait till Friday but I wouldn't get thompson (Crazy Laidley) but then again the injuries might keep him in the side for quite a number of games.
Plus I think Ibbotson will probably score better and will be able to be donwgraded quicker so I can upgrade Pffeifer, or vise Versa.

Anyone think trading Griffen to Armitage is stupid?

I have $65k at the moment, and Griffen has looked out of it the last 2 matches, scoring below 50 and sydney this week who will give him no space. Will mean I have about $215,000 in the bank after the trade, but will be starting 2 of Palmer/Bartram/Armitage/Ebert. Would look to upgrade 1 or 2 of these players to $400,000 midfielders in a couple of weeks when they start to peak...

Or would you think Ibbotson is a better prospect than Armitage???

Ah... and it's only monday morning!!!

The idea is to upgrade CCs to elites, and only downgrade to other CCs if its a must. I might upgrade Griffen straight to K Cornes or Judd, just looking into it atm ;)

Yeah, fair point... A few people have mentioned to upgrade Griff and downgrade a CC to another CC.

At the moment, my main options are as follows:

Option 1:
This week, sit tight, no trades

Next week
In: Corey, Browne
Out: Griffen, Bartram

Option 2:
This week...
In: Browne/Hinkley, Cross/Kornes
Out: Griffen, Bartram

This week may also depend on whether SDT/Selwood and Cox play, meaning I get two donuts to start with if they don't.

Also, with the 2 different options, I'm more likely to afford Cross or Kornes if I do it this week, but could afford Corey if I hold off a week.

Who's the best option out of those 3?

Thoughts?

You got two choices with Griffen, whos BE is around about 120 - he wont get anywhere near it considering we play Sydney.

So you gotta trade him this week before he loses value (already lost 15k but still up 44k). Can you up him straight to a premium or do you need to sell off another player? I sold him an hour ago for K Cornes, though im dead for money, like 16k.

Thoughts on doing these trades required. Griffen -> N.Stevens & C.Morton -> Goodes.

Would give me a midfield of: Corey, Swan, Judd, Goodes, N.Stevens with Palmer, Bird and Bartram as rotating 6th mid.

Worth doing or should I hold off?

I have $65k in the bank, so enables me to get someone up to about $350k, but I can't really see any outstanding players in that range... By the end of the season I want to have a Kornes/Cross/Corey type player who gets 30 possies week in week out, and I think this is my best chance... My other starting midfielders are Swan, Thompson, Ablett, Stevens and Palmer, but will keep the first 4 and Palmer still has a long way to go.

Getting Kornes/cross this week would mean I'd have to downgrade Bartram/Gamble to a Browne/Hinkley... would leave me with about $15k, but then I'm not convinced hinkley will play much more, and Browne would only be picked for his second match if picked this week.

Not a huge fan of either of those ideas, I think Griffen needs to be either traded to a cash cow or a proven gun. N. Stevens is a handy player, just not a gun in my eyes.

The problem is trying to find a good cash cow to trade down to, I have Hill sitting in my forward line ready to be downgraded, I just have nothing to trade to in my eyes.

im in a similiar situation with griffen.

want to trade him to kornes but need to free up cash to do so.

will have enough if i do nicoski--->Ibbotson

kornes value is set to rise and griffens to go down.

is it worth using the two trades this week???

will mean i have completed 7 trades...

also looking to trade josh hill the following week for a premium, probably jonathon brown who will most likely fall under 300k this week

Did anyone watch Collingwood on the weekend? Ryan Cook played his 1st game for the season and scored 71 DT points. Is he a possible CC, even at $129,700? Will he play again this week?

I have : C.Cornes, Hartlett, Cox, Priddis, Symes, Thornton. I was expecting to trade B.Mclean out for J.Corey and do a downgrade to get me some money to upgrade Ellis, Thornton to P.Burgoyne and Goddard but now im in a disasterous situation.

THEY HAVNT GIVEN US ENOUGH TRADES THERE ARE MORE INJURIES THEN EVER AND I FEEL 24 OR 25 TRADES IS THE RIGHT AMOUNT !!

hopefully they look into this more next year as everyone will have to take many 0's or run out on trades.

:eek::D:rolleyes:

So how did that projected 2300 score go?

You should be able to cover Cornes, Cox and Symes as non are long term injuries. Either way, I have the three I mentioned and 20 trades will still be enough.

Other option is to go straight swap and bring in Ablett for Griffen. If I do that then I'll move Bartram into the starting lineup and put Morton onto the bench for another 1-2 weeks, then downgrade him to Cotchin who should be close to getting a run around mid year. Which would then allow me to upgrade Bird. Midfield would then be: Corey, Ablett, Swan, Judd, Bartram & ?(hopefully a bottomed out premium), with Cotchin & Palmer on the bench.

Why you would not start Palmer ahead of Bartram is beyond me...

I will trade thornton > Goddard
and possibly Symes (if hes out) > P.Burgoyne

will cop a zero for C.Cornes but hopefully S.D.T plays and scores a 60 to cover him.

yeh well it didnt go to plan for me as i though i was seriousily gonna get above 2100. but then L.B.F (59), J.B (59), Ellis (54), Symes (54), Thornton (2), C.Cornes (65), B.Mclean (78)

and i trade N.Jones for K.Cornes which kicked me in the ass i new he would dominated the lions but i needed to trade someone as K.Cornes couldve scored a 130 and gone up 10k or so.

the person who won the weekly did score 2249 so i may have been 50 points off.
