Palmer currently starts and Bartram is the bench player but seeing as most rookies tend to slow down in the second half of the year I think it is a good idea to keep a player who is capable of playing the rest of the season on the bench as cover. This is the job Bartram is doing. If Palmer is rested for 1-2 weeks I then have a safe option to play who didn't cost a heap of money and will deliver the same sort of points that Palmer will.
 
Strongly considering:
Out: Ellis (although depending on which backs get games this week i might have to wait)
In: Goddard

Next Week:
Out: Pfieffer (Regardless if he plays this week or not)
In: Gilbee/Milburn (Gilbee's under-rate on here at the moment his average over the past 3 years is over 80! He's now over his injury he had pre-season and his price of 303K is amazing, waiting till next week as Bulldogs play Sydney this week)

Then backline will be done for the year and look like this:
C.Cornes
H.Shaw
Goddard
P.Burgoyne
Gilbee
Waters
Symes

Wonaeamirri
SDThompson

It won't be really uber strong but I don't want to waste any more trades on it and it will get the job done.

out Hill -> some low priced player
out Thornton -> King or Goddard

although this doesnt leave me with a lot of trades but I see this as part of the upgrading process now that Hill has peaked
 
looking to get rid of lovett murray and bring in ibbotson and then upgrade griffen i will have 395 000 in the bank and was looking at bringing in either mitchell or hodge who would be the better option

i think johnson is coming into his top form again, last 3 weeks 87, 113, 91

he's at 365 which is cheap

although chapman is only 20 grand more but is he 20 grand better at DT??

Need to work out what to do with Cornes and Thornton.

Thinking of keeping them both on the bench and relying on Talyor and Ibbotsom - or alternatively trading Symes for someone like Jake King and relying on one of Ibbotsom or Tayloy.

Or Alternatively again trading one of Cornes or Thoronton.

Thoughts?

How does trading Symes for King help.
Dump Thornton, everyone cracked a big one over him at the start of the year. He's not worth it over the full season

Hell yes! well maybe not hell, but he is definately worth that extra cash when fully fit

What the hell is going on with this Chad Cornes hysteria.
I've actually read someone trading him out for Ibbotson, a guy who's played 3 games.
He's either taking the piss and I've been suckered, or potentially the biggest moron or a Collingwood supporter (same thing)

THe Chad is in my opinion the best defender in DT history, and for those thinking of dropping him coz he'll miss 1 at the most 2 weeks is ridiculous.

Normally I love reading and hearing about dumb trades, but this has amazed me

I suggest you check Gambles break even again.......... fanfooty is wrong! is more like 0 using DT Talk calculator. Also he will post a few more 90's I reckon in games that Geelong dominate. I reckon he will get to 250K+

Hill has peaked, and plays the swans this week, but will probably go close to 60, but time to get rid of him, yes. Should hold his current value for a while though, maybe even go up further if he can get back to his round 1-3 form.

Chappy should be ripe for picking next week.
 
For everyone considering trading Hill, like I am, these are the problems I'm facing. The main problem with trading out Hill is picking who to trade in his place.

There are always two main options
Downgrade to a cash cow
This options does not seem viable at the moment, there just does not seem to be a good cash cow forward.
Mayne - Will he get a game? Will he be a suitable cash cow?
Cook - As above
C. Jones - As above
Upgrade to a Premium
This requires someone in the backline (I wish) or a midfielder to max out. Basically it looks like I'm waiting for Bird to peak and a suitable cash cow to appear here.
Wellingham - Cheap and looks good
Browne - May struggle for a game.

In my situation, waiting a week and downgrading Bird and Upgrading Hill looks like the best option.

Anyone who drops The Chad is nuts. Keep him and keep the upgrades going in other areas to minimise any points lost caused by a 0 in defence cos your reserves don't play. Then think how good your side will look when you can calmy rotate the great Chad back in off the bench. Not bad eh?

He is also known for his healing powers, quick recovery. 2 matches is all he'll miss.
 
I have Ellis and dyson who i want to upgrade but dont have the cash to do so, and none of my cash cows have peaked yet so i was thinking of doing these 2 trades:

Dyson > Armitage
Ellis > Goddard

The only problem with this is then i would have to upgrade Armitage later on, using another trade. Any thoughts?
 
Who should i trade thornton for? ive got $355,700? Im thinking about getting gilbee, craig bolton or osborne. Any other ideas?
