Surely a better option would have been to trade one of your bench players, probably Hartlett, to a cheaper player (eg. Ibbotson) who will definitely play and fill in for Cornes until he's back.

Cornes is not only a premium defender but is also one of the best DT players. Very silly to trade him out. He's probably going to be back in round 10, only 3 rounds.

Hill for Pavlich

Newman has been horrible, Ibbotson won't do much (last week was a blip) but will at least get me some much needed cash. Hopefully if he gets up to 220k I'll be using my 90k in the bank plus some from another cash cow to pick up a gun back. Here's hoping Shaw doesn't have a few good weeks, King looks out of reach and already got Cornes - this year there doesn't seem to be any other gun backs! Hill didn't seem worth keeping when Pav was this low.
 
Just traded Hansen for Ibbotson, good trade?

The way I see it, Ibbo will be worth a lot when it's eventually time to sell him off, even if Hasen does get games Ibbo will be worth a lot more.

And plus, I was getting a zero this week, and that added extra incentive.

I can always get him back. I have hardly used a trade (17 left) Cornes has a huge breakeven score when he does get back I may pick him up much cheaper! I should make some decent money on Whelan. It's not all doom and gloom.
 
Hey all
Ive got 12 trades lwft for the rest of the year, yes not ideal i have made 1 this wek in getting rid of Bowden and getting goddard. I was going to get rid of ellis if bowden played, because he has a high b/e. Should i trade ellis for burgoyne/milburn this week or wait for it?
 
thinking about trading chad cornes for kane (waits for abuse)

seriously though, i have 17 trades left, kane is a massive gun and is relatively cheap, and i have chad in mids (more valuable as a back). thoughts??

btw where do you find the break-even score for players??

wouldve traded ellis out but i have Symes, Thornton and C.Cornes and not to mention hartlett all in my backs.

I had to get rid of Symes and Thornton as they are out for a few weeks.

I traded :
Symes > P.Burgoyne
Thornton > B.Goddard

I believe these are the two best backs that i dont have left on the table besides energizer (J.King)

P.Burgoyne could get over 110 against the dons as they dont man up and he will be a big part of the rebound footy.

Ellis will fall more in money than P.Burgoyne this week. i really hope both can score 90+ as they are both in my side

To fix my woeful backs I'm pulling a double trade:
Cale Morton out for
a) Steven Browne (Carlton)
b) Brad Ebert (WCE)
c) Other?

Then, Darren Pfeiffer out for
a) Peter Burgoyne
b) Brendon Goddard
c) Other?

P Burgs with 1 score over 90 this year

Something tells me he wont IMO

Will get tagged and being used in a different role to last season
