between jeff and his high tackles and joseph and his no pressure and gibbs, russell and christ knows who else shirking contests and waite not taking marks, and everyone fumbling around like the ball was going to explode or something. this was an exasperating match.

Waite must be moved if hes having a night like he is. The fact he is never moved concerns me. I thought Henderson and Jamison did their jobs reasonably well. Duigan was mismatched on Saad, and Milne quietened down when Touhy was moved onto him.

Rucks were ok, if lacking in possessions. Key defence was ok, let down forward although eddie tried hard. for ellard to come out and be basically BOG for the blues in a quarter and a half was a joke on the rest of the team.

Just a gutless heartless game with quite a few players who have showed they aren't up to it.

We seem very one dimensional. It's either plan A or nothing.

Credit to the saints they took out Smurf and Simmo and we could not get moving. Judd busted his ass off as did Robbo. Gibbs was too quiet and Christ Garlett if you don't bring back your desperation then **** off.

Im so over players who don't actually put in any effort or try. Gibbs is an absolute disgrace and should be dropped to the vfl for the imminent future.
Kudos to ellard, robbo and kreuze for singlehandedly trying to win the game.
Get rid of the dead weight and play anyone who puts in a decent effort.

Losing clearances and hard balls not surprising. Week after week the carlton players wait for a teammate to get the ball and are just waiting for a hand off. Noone goes in to get the ball for themselves.

- Flankers as midfielders? Get it out of your mind Ratts. Tuohy, Russell, Duigan, Joseph is far too many flankers, give me pure mids.

- Garlett is terribly out of form. Time he starts following through with the talk of being scared for his spot, very comfortable, too comfortable.

- Scotland is just filling space right now.

- Walker not gelling well with Waite, Thornton would have been an upgrade on Duigan and could have gone forward and clunked a few for us.

Add Yarran and the defensive structure is much more solid.

Not trying to take over your thread but we were glad to see the back of Barker. It's no surprise that our forward line started functioning better right after he left and Buddy started looking dangerous again.

Need Laidler for his ability to read the flight of the ball. Duigan seems to have lost that ability.

Need Carrazzo so he can shut down the opposition's best mid and because he does not panic.

Need Yarran to be able to cut off half the goals going into an open forward line. Were slow as treacle back there tonight.

Quite simply, our depth can not sustain us for more than a match or two.

Need to get some enthusiasm and effort into the side. Starting to see the Bootsma charm. Kid looks polished. Tonight was a night that suited Lucas too by the way.

Russell, Tuohy, Armfield, Ellard, Joseph, Duigan, Curnow .... all battling for those last 4 positions in the side realistically. A couple are out of form, one never really in form, and others are limited skill wise.

Armfield and Ellard the only ones that earned their spot tonight. Curnow necessary because it is him or McLean.

Did tonight tell us that Murphy is our most important player? Stop him, let Judd have more freedom and we never looked like winning.

Why we persist on going at the man with jab and useless shit which leads to giving away free kicks because we have no brains and are undisciplined. PLAY THE ****ING BALL!!! How hard is that?

Bower - LOL! please do not play ever again. Whoever thinks he offers more than Thornton is deluded.

Joseph - Don't bother mate. Useless.

Gibbs - Don't put butter on your hands before playing footy

Rest of them should be shot too. Woeful effort. Can't remember a worse effort than that for some time.
