Genuine cripple fight this week.

Here's hoping the club get out to a substantial lead early - and then can hold on against a late wave of momentum from Fremantle.

Because I have no confidence that the team selected is capable of running out four quarters of competitive football.

Team is as bad as we've ever put up. Turn of the century, 2010 stuff. Half of this team is premiership ready and warriors. Half are an indictment on our list depth and frankly christ knows how its got so bad that they are playing tomorrow. Perhaps if Simmo hadn't arse canned Schofield and Jetta out of our squad for a start.

The other half of the near premiership team that exist in the squad have long term soft tissue, and bone stress injuries that are well beyond normal and again, christ knows how it got to this.

Game day bitches. A bit excited for this one. Freo have been our bitches for a few years now and to be honest it was boring as a contest. Now with a decimated backline and midfield and coming off a 100 point loss, we are down to Freo levels so a win here will really be worth getting excited about. Especially looking forward to what Allen can produce playing an entire game in the backline. This could be a game that shows us just how good this kid is and his leadership abilities because he must be the leader down there for us this week.
Predict Freo by 24 points but am quitely confident the boys will prove me wrong.

As Simmo said, Harry will have to play like a 50 gamer!
Need a big game from everyone....lets not forget we play "Freo
at Optus", it's a Derby-Darby, the team always lifts for this,
We should have a vocal crowd on side.
JK and NN for leadership, JK back is a big in..
Granted no leaders down back with Lobb and Tabs is a concern.
But the backs would've definitely self-flagellated and reorganised themselves after last weeks total collapse!
Midfield is a concern, but if ours can lift as they've done before, we can snatch it..
Expecting a big game from NN.. players to stand out-TK, Sheed, Duggs, Darling and the forwards if they can get supply.

Eagles in a nailbiter - or an emphatic win from the get-go! +++
No more injuries please...

Great Preview. Only thing missing was Duggo's hip and shoulder against Fifi.

If our midfield shows up like they did against Port and Collingwood we will win by plenty

Righto gang. This is what’s going to happen today.

Freo are coming in off a ‘big’ win at home against Norf. The big is in air quotes because they probably should’ve beaten them by A LOT more than 51 points given that Norf would be hard pressed to beat an Auskick side at the moment. They were paying $17 this week against Melbourne at one point.

Freo will have spent the last week drinking their own bath water, loving the fact that for the first time in 6 years they’re probably coming into a derby as the favourites. Given our horror show last week, this is probably fair enough, too. Their whole support base will be in a permanent state of arousal every time The West pumps them up this week.

We come in with a decimated back line, midfield, and probably now a compromised forward line as well given that, despite the team sheet, the Medium Sized O is probably going to be swung back to cover defensively throughout the day.

Freo come in in cloud 9, we come in with our backs against the wall. It seems pretty clear what’s going to happen, doesn’t it?

That’s right campaigners, we’re going to make a ******* statement and steamroll the purple little pricks after they’ve spent the whole week drinking their own bath water.

West Coast by 47 points. GG EZ, thanks for coming to my TED Talk. #alltheluck

Looking at the team sheets and it's the first time in a long time i've looked at the freo line up and said thats the stronger side. We're going to need a huge lift in the midfield, Allen and Edwards in defence are going to have to play blinders and shep and duggan are going to need to step up and lead the defence. Redden and Sheed need to play blinders and more inside.

Our outs :

McGovern
Barrass
Hurn
Shuey
Yeo
Ryan

Their outs :

Ryan
Pearce
Hamling
Cerra
Young

Arguably all of our outs are top 10-12 players on our list. You could say the same for Ryan and possibly Cerra for them

Massive difference in quality of the players missing. Will be one of our great derby wins if we manage to get up

Longmuir knows our system too. Simmo is going to need something up his sleeve. Maybe we will finally se Darling to the midfield

I'll be really pleased to get a win. Think Freo will get up to be honest, they will see us as very gettable and be desperate to break their draught.

Think we will come out real hard but like every other side, with the amount of key outs we have, it will be hard to hang on, unless the younger guys can step up. Looking at the future right here.
