The kid has serious footy smarts and just knows how to take a little bit off the kick to put it perfectly in front of a leading forward. Efficiency by foot passing to a leading forward is his skill set. Oh, and snapping a couple himself.
Petrucelle also showed a bit more and is growing into his role.

yes it was a discrepancy, but it doesn't discount the fact that for the first half you played like witches hats!

we were also +40 for contested possession and means that we were first to the ball majority of the time and you guys were sloppy.
Yeah, each team should get 2 free kicks each to use at their discretion and only lose them if they were the wrong calls. After 80 overs they get another 2. Only fair way to umpire.
There were a few calls went against port no doubt but it was hardly a travesty of justice. Most of our kicks were there as often happens when you dominate the contested and hard ball gets.

When their used to be interstate footy, the wide open spaces of the old oval seemed to be a def adv. is this needed new oval of sim dimensions?
Besides that the umpiring was not fair, and the tv commentators could at least sometimes indicate as such.
Yes true, but their was at leats afew decisions in favour of west coast. Need to add the two to get maybe 6 or more

If anything, I thought they were charitable to Port. They argued Jonas was unlucky to be pinged and did well when he had Kennedy in an arm bar, like he was throwing a crackhead out of a dodgy club
When you dominate you tend to get a bit of the rub of the green from the umps and every side do. Even Port had a couple when the arrested momentum.
The dimensions wouldn't have mattered because Port were lacklustre and didn't turn up to play for most of the game. Most decent teams would have made you pay tonight.

The only real howler we got away with was Shep's hold on Dixon I thought. Otherwise they all could have gone either way.

Willie kicks the ball inside 50 the same way Kerr used to kick it. Takes that littlelittle bit off it with deftness class and precision that forces the player to lead through the ball and is impossible to defend.

We.were ferocious and dynamic today. I haven't seen a better West Coast since 04-07. Its a more complete team too.
