Autopsy Round 8, 2022: Hawks put in a stinker v Bombers

Ordinary effort from the start.

Defense looked uninterested.

Lots of players went missing.

Not many positives apart from Newk.

Go at it.

Thought we had fitness at the start of the season but we either don't or our game plan gets worked out really quick and we can't adjust to plan b.

To lose, let alone by so much is just inexcusable. Questions need to be asked of the club this week.

The worst part about the loss was that it was always going to happen after the week of media they had, and we just failed to turn up.

Can’t pin the loss on any individuals, 90% of the team looked like they didn’t care tonight.

Hard to see how players like Impey, Worpel and Bruest can keep there spots.

Frost gives away so many goals each week, he isn’t part of our future.. may as well play Hartigan.

Gunston has dropped 8 premiership points.

Impey and Day need to play in the 2s because they are either unfit or out of sorts.

We have zero structure forward of the centre without Lewis clunking a hail mary.

I think many people have been deluded as to where we are in a rebuild - at the start.

We have a long way to go, and this result clearly shows that. I do not understand how people are suprised, but we will have results like these until the old, awful midfield group is pushed out. They are inconsistent, one-way runners with little dynamism between them.

It's a long road, and a rough result, but we're still slowly building towards something. Hopefully this will give Mitchell a clear indicator of personnel no longer worthy of the Brown and Gold in the mid to long term ...
