Gunston is a lead up forward, Joe is a ruck relief who really needs to do that role or he can just get left behind in a game and never get his hands on it.

If you want to play Fort and Big O in the same team then Joe really has no role.

Unless you play Joe as a ruck/forward he hardly gets his hands on the ball and loses confidence quickly.

So it's Big O and Fort or Joe.

It's been this way since Joe's Essendon days, just ask them.

Tonight Gunston saluted.

Gunston is a lead up forward who regularly leads away from the pack; an issue we toiled under last year where everyone would lead to the fall of the ball, and a role we have no one else to play.

Charlie certainly agrees as to the benefit Gunston brings to the forward line.

"His quality is his leadership, he's from a quality side ... he played unreal footy at Hawthorn," Cameron said.

"Having him to learn from, a different player to what we have as our talls at the moment, he's a lead-up player, he's crafty.

"For me and our other talls, we can just learn off him and get some good advice."

Go Gunners!!!

Incredible win down in Melbourne, little arm wrestle in the 1st and then we were just superior.

Payne looks settled, Dunkley continues to get comfortable. All signs pointing to a good year, just have to ride the wave and pray.

Josh Dunkley… that is all

Josh Dunkley and Jack Payne were enormous. + Andrews, Daniher, McCluggage.

It felt more like a 50 point win, we were in 2nd gear in the final quarter.

Our pressure in the 2nd and 3rd quarters was premiership winning stuff IMO.

The good:
Payne absolutely dominated the best forward in the comp".
Dunkley a real stand out game
Bailey finally putting some form together
Hippy doing some excellent things and getting the icing on the cake at the end

The Bad:
Sharp not at AFL Level
Didn't like dropping the 40 point margin, but think we had to absorb their last ditch attempt
BT has to be the most vile commentator ever. 35 points down and he reckons the Blues have it. What an absolute moron

Well done boys, a great win on the road and made a statement. 🦁

Dunkley absolutely massive.
Payne absolutely coming into his own.
Cameron brought wonderful pressure and really deserved his goals.

Voted for Bez and Andrews as well but Bailey very good too.

Anyone who complains about that win either knows nothing about football or can't keep irrational emotions in check.

Our game is in great shape. We can improve, but those improvements are incremental and easy things to fix. An elite team.

I thought Harry Sharp was better in the 2nd half but I would still take him out for one Jaxon Prior, Dev Robertson, Callum Ah Chee next week.

I also thought Jarrod Berry was very good tonight.
