Would love Hunt to get the chop and introduce the Gregor

Really Grego should have made his debut before Allan. Allan no doubt tye better prospect but out of the two Grego has been much better at WAFL level.

Allan seems to love a few mis tackles thi and will fit right in that defence tho

Dewar and Davis makes sense going out imo but Long is odd.

Why bring him in to play a quarter (which he did well) then drop him again? Just leave him in the WAFL for some continuity ffs

The thing with Hunt is that in form (like the last couple years) he is more beneficial to this side than Duggan and Cole.

He is a bit of a turnover merchant but it’s got worse this year and it sticks out like a sore thumb considering most of the team does it too

Owies lucky and arguably Long could/should be in the side ahead of him

As much as I like that Allan gets his chance to debut him being selected ahead of Gross I don’t quite get - especially when the 3 outs (Davis, Dewar, Long) are all wing/HF types

If Gross (or Davis) comes in for Duggan then it makes a bit more sense

Slightly older team this week and the lowest number (6) of 20 or under players 20 or under (at 1/1) we’ve had this year

I don’t think Longs form at WAFL deserved a recall. Like I said above, think they wanted Brockman last week but he didn’t pull up and now that he’s fit they’re going with him

Not many would have predicted the bolded spine going into the season. Waterman, McGovern and Kelly or any of the other regular centre bounce mids are locks but Allen at CHB and A Reid at FF was not on too many bingo cards.

Good on McQualter for not being afraid to move the magnets around but what is what is driving what? Are we playing Allen at CHB because he's struggling forward, or playing him back because Edwards and Brock haven't been up to it? Or are we balancing that Allen in defence and A Reid forward is better overall than Allen forward, one of Edwards/Brock in defence and one of J Williams/A Reid in the Beagles?
