Owies cops a lot of shit, but his defensive efforts is what saves him.

I'd play Dewar CHF he is the opportunity player and play maker, this role suits him.

Try Maric on the wing

out: archer (rest), cole, fridge

In: gross, shanahan, Kelly

Owies had:

0 Tackles
0 Tackles i50
a Disposal Efficiency of 30% (worst by a mile in the team).
for Defensive Half Pressure Acts he had 3, for contrast in less than a Qtr Longy had 3.
0 One percenters.

by pretty much every metric his defensive efforts were rubbish.

TK for Owies I reckon.
Gives Mini a lever to pull on the midfield mix too.

We were far too tall and needed to dominate aerially, which we did not. It kinda sucks but I think Archer or JWill should go back to the WAFL for team balance. Get Tommy Gross back in the side if his body is right.

Not sure what to do about Dewar. Guy has lost his spark ATM. Looks like Mini is backing him to play through it but surely he has to be thinking about giving him a spell.

Dewar has to get a spell he was invisible. Just frustrating none of our youngsters can string 2 good games in a row together. And the WAFL boys are just plodding along.

Owies can't be retained after that performance that's an easy swap for Noah Long.

Tom Gross and Kelly need to be in the team although with Reid and Hewett we actually weren't too far off in the clearances.

Probably give Reid a spell too and go in with a slightly smaller forward line.

Out: AReid Owies Dewar
In: Kelly Gross Brockman

Gotta stick with the Quad H midfield Harley Hewett Hough Hutch. They all have positive intent and the latter two will get cleaner the longer they play in there.

If Owies is retained against the dees, i will legit start a sack mini movement. Who's with me??
Noone. Don't be a dickhead.

Out: Owies, Dewar
In: Kelly, Brockman
Brockman or Long to sub, give Davis more time as he is showing some nice things.
Like you, I see more value in playing Davis than dropping him.
Allen out - Reid to defence Shanahan into Reid's spot.
Gross for Dewar - looked well off the pace yesterday. Time for a rest and reset for mine for Dewar.

In - TK, Gross, Bo (Brock)
Out- Owies, Dewar, Davis. (AReid)

If the Archer to the backline is going to be tried the next month is probably the time. Fullerton, Faull, Caminiti before Thilthorpe. If not bring in Brock for the same reason and let Archer go back and his thing at WAFL level. Oscar plays his 100th and we put him on the LTI before he rides off into the sunset (Brissy) or windy and cold (Hawks) and to get another MSD spot ;). If he is leaving he should only play after Waterman, Reid, Williams, Shanahan.

Vs Dees
B- Maric - AReid - Duggan
HB- Baker - Gov - Ginbey
C- Hunt - Hough - Bo
HF- Gross - Oscar - Graham
F- Cripps Waterman - Ryan
R- Flynn - Reid - Hewett
B- TK - Hutchinson - JWill - Cole
Sub - Long
Hold over - Owies

Beagles vs SF
Bazzo - HEdwards - ?
Johnston - Brock - Brockman
Dewar - Hall - Davis
Champion - Barnett - Rawlinson
Livingstone - Shanahan - Petruucelle
BWill - Grego - ?
Jamieson - ? - ?

The list depth charts are so out of whack

A number of suggestion of Bo to make his debut.
For those who actively watch the WAFL, is Bo fit enough to run out a full game? Appeared to me that he started well, but ran out of energy towards the back end of the game. If he was to make a debut, would a sub be the best option?

Allan was playing in defence again on the weekend in the wafl right?
Might be planned with Hough and Reid leaving the backline this week as a way to get him into the side. Especially with Grego, Gross and Hall playing midfield in the wafl.

A debut could be close.

Gov, Allen, maric, ginbey, Baker, duggan and Allan could be a backline we run with

Yeah I have a feeling he will be in.

Not sure they will drop Cole again after one game and wasn’t that bad.

Maybe Allan as sub.

Agree with this but id be surprised if it is this week.

Cole wasn’t bad enough to drop, and Allan not good enough in the WAFL to force his way in.

We only have the dees, Richmond and saints in the next 3.

We could play without Allen/Brock/Edwards in the backline for all 3 of those games, go a little smaller with Allan instead

Probably wont though

Yeah nobody in that backline was that bad to be dropped imo

I wouldn't be picking him yet. Give it another few weeks of hopefully consistent footy without interruption. Sub could be an option but I despise picking first gamers for that role.

We pretty much got a full list to choose from and no one from the WAFL is really putting in performances that demand selection...and theres too many players in the main side that are droppable.
Yep minimal changes please. (Except maybe Gross.)

It’s hard to watch but we were competitive for large parts of the game (not Q2 & last 7 mins).

We’re trying to build a style that relies on knowing where/how other players operate. To do this, the less changes the better.

But it is hard to watch. Rebuilding ain’t pretty.

I would like to see minimal changes made.

Out: Cripps, Owies
In: TK, Gross

Cripps has been playing great but I want to see what happens when we inject some more speed into the front half.

Archer and Oscar to swap positions please.
Bye bye Owies, got to the Beagles and see if you can get more than half a dozen possessions.
Davis and Dewar also back to Beagles to learn how to get some touches. Davis has had a couple of games to see what it takes to play AFL and Dewar just is going backwards.

Grego will be a good in, particularly with the potential conditions.
Gross has to come back and stay in the side.
Hall or Whopper for the other inclusion. Will probably be Kelly though if he is fit which will be ok I guess.

I liked Harley forward and a 50/50 split with midfield time would be a good fit for him.
Gross to wing, won't get as banged up but will get more involved the Dew boy has been.

Clay Hall and Tom Gross playing WAFL while Tim Kelly is N/A was... interesting. Likewise Noah Long being brought back in after one game.

Match committee feels like the complete opposite of the Simpson era in terms of predictability.
