Any clues on whether they decide to stick with Hough in the midfield this week?
Yes I would captain him in fantasy, if that’s what you’re asking

Sure I Saw Steven May wandering through the city last night. Didn’t expect to see Melbourne players in so early, thought they’d have flown in today. Unless he came in seperately.

Going to my first game for the year tomorrow. Hopefully can see an extension on the improvement from the last couple of weeks.

Wonder if we are planning to send Kelly to the HFF tomorrow

Did he take a swing at you?

That's a good sign, when we beat them last I saw Gawn, and two other Demons walking along Railway Pde in West Leederville.

Eagles by 11 points.

Max Gawn is the difference between us winning and losing, I’m not looking forward to seeing the hit out to advantage differential, if we do win it will be a Herculean effort. I’m hopeful but not expecting.
Based on last years game vs Dees, and the fact he has been made an emergency, it wouldn't surprise me to see Baily come in as a late change to do a job on Gawn.
I recall last year in the game where we beat them, Bailey put a lot of work into Gawn off the ball, he constantly blocked and bumped him and stopped him from easily running to positions to intercept- almost like a scragging tag. Really put him off his game and reduced his effectiveness, even if he didnt win the hit outs.
Ill be looking for similar tactics to annoy the shit out of him and shift his focus.

Did he take a swing at you?
Haha no. I figured he was on his way to the pub for a feed.

I recognised him, and I think he knew he’d been recognised but I kept walking by. I think he was just enjoying being out and about. He looks just a ball of muscle to be honest I’d not be keen to square up against him.

Of course if it wasn’t Steven I’ve looked like a bigger fool than usual.

Who is our stoppages coach. Might need a bit of work in that space to be competitive this week, and next, and the next and so on.

Caught this graph on the interweb this morning. Pretty damning I’d say.

TO be fair, we've played 4 games with B Will as ruck, and our only senior midfielder who could be described as clearance player hasn't played all year.

If there was one from the past 2 weeks only I don't think it would be anywhere near as bad.
A couple of those early games really destroyed this stat for us, particularly GC, GWS and Carlton.

Going to be really grim if we cannot put in a cracking showing.

That being said, I think we do it to the Demons again with:

  • May moving like a 60 year old McGovern
  • Trac being Reid's bunny
  • Gawn being Flyin's launch pad
  • Fritsch burning his team mates left right and centre
  • Petty being the biggest source of falling moisture on Optus this Saturday
  • And most importantly, they won't have any footy boots after Oliver confused what was actually in the "Gear Bag", when he pinched it off the bus before they left to go to the airport.

Actually it doesn't improve much. Our best run ad scoring from clearances was early on (Rounds 1 - 3), and then round 7. We've been crap at clearances all year, but the rounds where we were better than our average (for clearance differential) were rounds 2, 4 and 7.

So what you're saying is... it's time to fold the club?

What did we do in the Bombers game considering we almost won? Sling shot out of defence?

Thanks..........yep, thanks a lot.
Crush me 🤣

Reckon you guys will take confidence from last year’s game at Optus, and will win accordingly. If it were at the G Melbourne would account for you comfortably IMO.

And you’re due for a win and the Dees can’t score in last quarters, nor play decent footy away from the MCG.

Eagles by 19 points, and it’s a game you quiet frankly ought to be winning from an outsider looking in.
