This Round marks the ANZAC remembrance and with it two now traditional matches on Tuesday, but it also provides an interesting Round on paper as well. We start with on Friday with the 6pm match in Canberra between the Raiders and the Sea Eagles, before the 8pm game at ANZ Stadium between the Rabbitohs and the Broncos. Both games involve a side who is struggling to hold onto the teams running away in the Top 4, so a win will be vital for any hopes of finishing in the Top 4. However their opposition will be needing a win to keep up with the race for the finals. Both games should be quality matches.
Saturday is really a bad day of games on paper. It sees the Eels take on the Panthers in the 3pm kickoff, the Eels coming off good come from behind win but both teams struggling otherwise. The 5.30pm game is the Cowboys without JT taking on the bottom placed Knights before the 7.30pm game involving the Sharks and the Titans (so much of this years figure was based upon a fit and firing Hayne...pity that).
Sunday sees the Wests Tigers take on the Bulldogs. The Tigers are coming off a tough loss while the Bulldogs are wanting to keep touch with the Top 8.
This then leads into Tuesday and ANZAC Day, with the first game at 4pm between the Roosters and the Dragons in a battle between 1st vs 4th on the ladder and a real rivalry match to boot. Its set up really well for Match of the Round. To finish the Round and ANZAC Day off we head to Melbourne for the Warriors trip to Melbourne to meet the Storm. Already the second meeting between the two sides this year, with the Storm getting the honours the first time in Round 2. Storm sit in second place while the Warriors are in 13th with 3 wins needing the win to hold on the pack. Always a cracking match.
Enjoy the round
