There's plenty of ground to be made up over the byes, think some have underestimated how skewed the premo distribution is

This ......i get the impression many coaches have not factored byes into their trading plans ? ......how can coaches be bringing in rnd 11 bye players, or in fact most players until at least the rnd 11 bye is completed

I've got Sydney and Bulldogs players earmarked to be traded in rnd 12 .....ATM trying to a) generate cash & b) trying to have as many playing bench players as possible

Where I wonder a bit, too, is people bringing in maxed out premo options. Have mapped trade scenarios out a bit and grabbing 600k premos just isn't feasible with the cash I'll be generating and getting to a full premo side in a reasonable timeframe.

Where I wonder a bit, too, is people bringing in maxed out premo options. Have mapped trade scenarios out a bit and grabbing 600k premos just isn't feasible with the cash I'll be generating and getting to a full premo side in a reasonable timeframe.

That's why people *are* jumping on Cripps/Heeney/JPK etc...
Potential premium players for a 15-20% discount.

I think sometimes people get too caught up in the stigma almost of zeros...and so want bye coverage at any cost.

Maybe someone who jumped on Heeney this week will cop a 0 in rd. 11...

...130 this week + 100 +100 +0 = 330

Where someone who kept Butler just to have a full 18 in rd. 11 get 36 + 60 + 64 + 45 = 205.

(Obviously made up numbers, but you get the point...)

Plus you've 'saved' money by upgrading cheap.

But you're 100% right in that getting a full compliment of guns will be tough.
My planning has me 1 premium mid short and Adams still to grab in defense after rd 13, with very dubious current assets!

Agree in terms of the fear of the donut, sometimes better to accept it and stick to your upgrades. I might cop one this week, but will not deviate from planned trades even if it eventuates.
