Just a few questions for you Geelong supporters, how do you see the matchups against our forward line, esp. Hall, O'Loughlin, Goodes, Davis and Schneider? And will Cameron Mooney play?

Cheers.

Scarlett will play on Nutbag Hall,Sanderson on O'Loughlin,Harley or Milburn on Goodes,Wojcinski on Schnieder and Rooke [if in defence] on Davis.

Mooney won't come in.If any changes are made ,it may be either Lord or Gardiner in.

And if Ben Graham plays up forward, which dud of a defender will get him? Saddington? Oooh, scary or would it be Craig Bolton? Oooh, he's even scarier!

Those wins were against sides coached by Gary Ayres and were completely different sides, the same argument you were using when we were saying how confident we are of beating you on Sunday.

Well I was told I can't use that arguement?

We will put 175cm Jared Crouch on him. He would probably beat him :D

I think Schauble might, and then Saddington will take Kingsley. Or they might swap.

You weren't told any such thing mate, but you need to realise that this is the Geelong board, so of course we're going to focus more on our own team and look for positives about our next game.

If you want to bring up statistics, lets look at our head to head record since 1992....

1992 - Geelong 1, Sydney 0 (at SCG)
1993 - Geelong 1, Sydney 0 (at SCG)
1994 - Geelong 2, Sydney 0
1995 - Geelong 2, Sydney 0
1996 - Geelong 0, Sydney 1 (at SCG)
1997 - Geelong 2, Sydney 0
1998 - Geelong 0, Sydney 2
1999 - Geelong 0, Sydney 1 (at Geelong)
2000 - Geelong 2, Sydney 0
2001 - Geelong 1, Sydney 0 (at SCG)
2002 - Geelong 1, Sydney 0 (at SCG)

Head to Head: (last 10 years) Geelong 12, Sydney 4

Not fair to count 1995 and prior, we were rubbish then :D

You're right mate, I remember a game at the SCG back in 1994 where Gary Ablett kicked more goals then the whole Sydney side... 14 to 9. :p

Sanderson has been very up and down. If he struggles early on, i would be surprised to see Rooke play on O'Loughlin.

If its dry, Benny could be a very important match-winner :)

Bracksy will no doubt have to look into that.

You can't please everyone.

Have fun at the SCG on Sunday Scarlett Pimp, lets hope the Cats can get over the line and get off the bottom of the ladder.

HALF TIME:

Sydney 10.8.68 to Geelong 4.1.25

That was one of the most inept, pathetic, lack lustre halves of football I have seen in a very long time. It is one thing to lose to a quality side when you give your absolute best and make a contest, it is another to come out and do what Geelong have done so far today.

Darren Milburn and Brenton Sanderson better take a good hard look because their poor efforts have not gone without notice.

Steven King not playing is a huge blow to us but Paul Chambers is trying hard in the ruck and providing a contest. Matthew McCarthy is showing a bit up forward... it's amazing how much better we look when we kick to someone who knows how to play in that position!! That boy should be left in the team for the rest of the season regardless of how well he plays as he's someone we can build a forward line around.

Ben Graham is also showing a bit but so far, it's been a very depressing and boring game to watch.

It looks like that Geelong are getting another belting, this time against the Swans.

Let's hope that Bomber Thompson can fix this up.

It's official... season 2003 is a total write off for Geelong. There's no coming back from an embarassing 1-7 record, today's inept perforance was proof enough for me. What's worse, we deserved to lose by a lot more then 39 points... the end margin flattered Geelong.

McCarthy provided a contest up forward when he came on, kicking 2 goals and showing that he is worth persisting with. Ben Graham also tried hard, kicking 4 goals in a good return to form. Ling, Chambers, Ablett, Scarlett and Harley tried hard as well for us... apart from that it was pretty ordinary.

This is going to be a long year for us Geelong supporters, make no mistake about it. We're not going to win too many games this year, priority draft picks here we come.

That's the problem Suzi, he can't. He hasn't so far and he's had plenty of chances to. He is a terrible coach.

Hawthorn will flog us next week.

Why don't we just forfeit the year? It's gone already, only 8 weeks in.

Some heads must roll for this debacle of a year.

We need to use the rest of this year to put in place a structure and gameplan which will take us forward in 2004. They can start by leaving Matthew McCarthy at full forward... here's a young guy who knows how to play in that position, we can build a forward structure around someone like him.

I wish we could mate.

I don't want to be overly dramatic, but i can forsee plenty of damage being done to our young ones if this continues.

I know what you mean phatandphreaky... all that hard work to develop a winning culture last season, our kids being part of a VFL Premiership, all the positive vibes coming from the club... it's all going down the toilet this year unless something is done and fast.

Players like S Johnson, J Bartel and C Enright have gone backwards this year, if it continues, their careers will be in tatters come seasons end.
