+ives:
- Duggan's game;
- keeping St Kilda to a low score;
- Shuey's four quarter game;
- Masten's clean disposals even when slippery;
- Sheppard backing up with a second good game;
- Hutching's involvement and score board impact;
- Mackenzie's defensive work was better (even if he is still rightly second guessing his disposal);
- Lycett continues to demonstrate his ability to shoulder ruck and around the ground work;
- our movement of the ball at times was electrifying.

-ives:
- Redden's lack of involvement until the final quarter (it should be said that at least he was tackling);
- Gaff's disposal in the first quarter and a half was atrocious;
- Cripps had no influence (it should be said that at least he was tackling);
- allowed ourselves to get bogged down in the 2nd and 3rd quarters.

Pretty hard to gauge where the skills are at given the conditions seemed bad.

Good to win comfortably. I really like Duggans work rate. Great second, third and even fourth efforts.

Positive - clearly our defensive display was significant.

Our Giants game last year set up our season - with a similarly miserly result.

Today wasn't so much about flat tracking (our score wasn't overly huge) - it was more about our defence and ground ball scrap when it got tough. It is what is lacking.

Hopefully this game can kickstart our defensive edge again.

+ Duggan is a jet
+ Goalkicking was on early
+ Nic Nat the most influential ruckman in the comp, don't @ me
+ intensity difference was huge - McGovern and Masten notable leaders in this department
+ JK is so good for someone far worse than Tex Walker
+ Held a team to three goals which is alright
+ Butler and Hutch are sticking around for a while in this team

- Learned absolutely nothing about our team
- JD looks sore and Wellingham/ankle always a concerning combo

Positive Gresham my first round draft pick kid can play........

Positive : wasn't even close to a Danger game like i have said on this board forgot how Flat Patterson is :oops:

Negative:

Redden had put up a mere 11 possessions for the game. Thats the third lowest for the entire team today, playing as an onballer against soft opposition at home. Given the overall performance of the team you cant drop him, but, at what point do we go, the output is nowhere near enough?

Oh **** completely forgot but deserves his own post: Scott Lycett is the greatest man alive. Not changing my avatar but **** off Sinclair never heard of you.

We took a gamble on the Sinclair trade and, regardless of what happens with Jetta, we are better off with Lycett playing 2nd ruck (although today he played 15% more game time than Naitanui).

He did have 9 tackles which is a little bit of a saving grace.
Mind you I believe he only had 6 disposals to 3 quarter time.

Duggan's best game for the club imo. If he'd clinched that goal might have gone close to our best midfielder on ground.

Positives - 100 point wins will take any day of the week.
Shepherds continued solid form.

Negative- our continued bad decision making in kicking or hand balling to someone under extreme pressure. Against poor sides we get away with it and good sides make us pay. It seems to be an entrenched part of our game plan to just feed off without even looking. It is a real problem for us.

+
Duggans best game
First time this season, shuey, gaff, masten and priddis all fired together
Nic nats ruck work
Gov and shep having a steller season
Jk early on
Lecras later o

Redden needs a spell for ep. Fan of this guy but his way off his best
niggles to wellers and darling.

Might not think this if St Kilda actually converted though. Their kicking for goal was beyond awful.

Eh, he barely gets any time at centre bounces, he's sort of stranded in the awkward half forward/mid role we ruined Brad Ebert with. He's clearly not a forward, and he's not with the play enough to get touches as a mid - not time to panic yet on him, would love to see him get more exposure. Think long term he's still the guy to take over from Pridda.
