I was at the Demons v Dogs last night. If we don't beat both teams by 10 plus goals I will be shocked.

Dawes is such a competitor but by god he can't mark for shit.

I have a theory that Freo have came back to the field as teams are adopting similar defensive game plans this year, so their inferior attacking players are showing.

If you watch his highlights from his TAC Cup year, he has the same flawed technique then as he does now. I just can't understand how this hasn't improved over eight years. His arms go straight up as opposed to out in front. Surely he would have been coached to alter his technique to some degree.

I watched some of the game last night and found myself yelling at the TV as Dawes was still so frustrating to watch in a marking contest. Always liked him and wanted him to do well but he was hard to watch last night.

I really like Dawesy and wish him well but yep, he has a very frustrating marking technique. If it's still a problem now it will always be a problem.

Both teams lacking a quality inside extracting mid.

Libba goes alright.

29 possessions, 16 contested, 14 tackles, 8 clearances, 85% disposal efficiency and 2 goals!

It was numbers flooding the contest and lack of spread that turned that match into the farce it was last night...

i lost count of how many players could be looked at this week for their bumps.

do team's form usually flunctuate this much, like west coast lost to carlton a couple of weeks ago and now beat gws by 111 points who had just had a pretty competive game against probable premiers port. theres being plenty of examples does this normally happen and I'be haven't noticed it or is this new?

Yeah, happens all the time. Just look at North's performances.

GWS are not there yet. They will have these big losses.

It's not every week fuzz but with the travelling involved plus superior coaching methods it is becoming more prevelant. You only have to look within a single game to see that the game is now much more likely to feature huge runs of scoring to one team or another, momentum can mean so much.
