But is Docherty a decent option? It's pretty much sideways...but it means I'd avoid Robbo's 12 this week and Docherty could become a decent D6/7 (my D6/7 would be Langford & Doc)

There are no good options really in defence. Doherty is not good as a downgrade option if that is what you are considering as his JS is shaky and will end up sitting on the pine for you. Waste of trade probably for sideways.
I went for Gardiner to open up some cash for upgrades but you have missed that boat now.
Langdon will end up being your starter all rounds.
You may need to ride out Mcdonalds 12.

North have Brisbane, geelong then West coast....

Yeah I never liked Gardiner as a downgrade option..good for 30-40 points and his JS isn't that great either...Aylett and Tippett don't look like great options either, hence why I'm thinking of taking a punt on Docherty.

Except you make an additional $100k on Gardiner to use elsewhere. If you're going to punt, punt on the cash cow....
