any reason why people would be against Jordan Clark?

Clarry out threw a bit of a spanner in my plans so decided to see how the bombers rookies fared before deciding what to do.

Think I have three options with 242k in the bank:

1 trade: Oliver to Neale (Holding MReid with 64 BE) (148k left)

2 trades: Oliver and MReid to Dunkley and Warner (28k)

Boost: Oliver, Reid and Stone/Hall to Dunkley, Anderson and HH (17k)
Stone scenario means pushing Lashcroft forward and either playing him or SPP on field. HH or Kako 60 in mids.

Leaning towards option 1 or 2 and not risking going early on a rookie given how dire my mid bench is already. Targeting Sinclair next week for 550k.

Don't think people are against him, he was a fine starting pick and paying his way but is prob fringe top 6 and priced at what he will score. Can prob get Sincs next week for 10K more or Holmes for 50K less

Might go Oliver to Warner. Realistically Clayton won’t be a top 8 mid anyway, so using him being out to flip him to what should hopefully be a top 6 forward moving forward.

Fair - I am bringing Sinclair in next week for sure, was needing to bring another defender in this week so was looking at Clark - half thinking about Holmes too

is it too late to jump on the Freijah train?

Or should I just wait a week spend an extra trade and get Sinclair in?

Treloar back this week could well directly affect him with CBAs. I looked at him as well but too much uncertainty as to where Bevo will play him.

Pivoting like everyone else here it seems. Piggy and CHall out now, keeping Levi and Prior for another week of mooing.
Pivoting again - Moraes out over CHall as extra $$$ on his head.

Am I crazy for thinking about bringing in Bowey this week and Rankine next week instead of Rankine this week and someone < $580k next week?

Watching plenty of Melbourne games this year having Trac and Piggy on field and Bowey seems to be seagulling to his heart's content. Liking the POD/value play and with a BE of 51 and Eagles this week, can see him making some good coin with similar floor/ceiling/role to his fellow redhead in Sydney. Potential keeper if he continues recent form?

On the other hand, Rankine is a keeper but is rolling with an 87 BE. No Crouch for 5-6 weeks isn't the end of the world as he averaged 99.75 over four games without him in 2024. Coming up against an in-form Carlton team this week on his home deck, I can see a world where he shits out an 80 and remains at his current price. On the other hand, the Crom have a point to prove and he could pull out 120+.

Cheers, I think you are right

I might actually just trade Clarry to Rankine

Or

AReid to Huswaite and upgrade Clarry

Disregard his BE because if you’re paying 450 you need him to be a keeper.

He looks incredible, I have my doubts but I had them about Ash too and he’s proven me wrong.

Ended up going Oliver/Prior to Neale/Buss.

Maric gets a reprieve and becomes Sinclair next week. Hopefully Melbourne can load him up on kick ins this week.

Bowey is the real deal imo and the dees gameplan this year seems to involve a lot of chipping around the backline. I’d bring him in if i wanted a defender this week

Really conflicted this week. I had settled on JClark, but Oliver has thrown a spanner in the works.
Essentially its JClark + Oliver vs Bont + Davidson?

Team Clark

Team Bont

Context: currently top 1k, so leaning Bont for the POD factor and go-for-broke"ness"

I wanna sideways Oliver with only 1 trade, only got approx 30k in the kitty, the only two options that are appealing to me are up to Dawson at 498k or down to Warner at 461k.
What are people’s thoughts?

What about Steele or Cripps

if every single poster in the sc forum answered you I doubt 1 person would say dawson over warner given you're

a) thinking about bringing in dawson
b) warner is dpp

Close, prob just the second option Dunks averaging 142 last 4 vs GC. Trac also nice match up
It's not just about this week though. Neale and Dunkley probably both will average almost the same and Warner and Petracca will probably average the same

So, traded Hamling out, Petracca in.

Had to go early to restructure Bombers players before the match.
If I now trade Milera out and Hamling in, that doesn't cost me a trade right?

Yes you have still used a trade
No, swapping out a player you’ve traded in this week for another player won’t cost you an extra trade.
Thanks gents. So, next question. Keep Milera or bring Hamling back in to collect Reid's 102?

I don't think Dawson went so great last year when Crouch was out of the team. Maybe Peatling, he was good against GC with no crouch
