Just going to put a few names here of guys I am considering. Discuss my selections or present you own:

Defence:

Bock (one of the most solid backmen), P Burgoyne (bottomed out), MacDonald (top performer and reasonable price)

Mids:

Murphy (cheap and solid), Dal Santo (Bottomed out), McVeigh (looks likely to keep his form up, and is cheap)

Rucks:

Hille (bottomed out most like)

Forwards:

O'Keefe (top performer, reasonable price), Chapman (bottomed out most likely), N Brown & Johnson (back to form??)

Obviously a lot depends on the game next week and where injuries are, but it looks like Brown is out for a while so I think I'll need to get a forward in. Chapman looks like the best value for money to me.

I'm not sure what the point of trading up in the midfield is going to be, but I could also upgrade Stanton, Gibbs or Houli up to Dal Santo. However I almost feel like that's a waste of a trade, given I only have 13 left.

Got a long time to consider it!

Forward line gets another upgrade.

Currently: Pavlich, Buddy, Rioli, Medhurst, Thomas, Akermanis, Hawkins, (Gamble, Reid)
In: O'Keefe, maybe Chapman?
Out: Probably Thomas?

Other than that I squirrel away cash and try to find a new cash cow so I can grab Cornes when he's back. Only 11 trades left though, so have to be a bit smarter than I was early on.

Gram gawnnn and welcome H.Shaw. Want to get Stiffy or Bock too so when I get C.Cornes back my defense will start looking a bit classier! A nice cash injection too of Houli down to Browne from the Blues.:thumbsu:

At least I don't have to decide who to play now out of Palmer and Houli as my sixth midfielder. HeeHee!

Dal Santo or Mitchell are looking good as my sixth midfielder when I upgrade. Question is who would you pick out of those two?

What if Shaw gets injuried for the Vics next week or at training why would u do the trade and not wait?

The chances of H.Shaw getting injured this week are pretty slim to none. (touch wood) He's a keeper for all year so think I've made the right choice.

I know, I pulled the trigger early, usually don't but I am on a high after winning my last two games and getting my highest ever score in Superocach this week! :D

OUT Riewoldt ($500,50 IN Richardson ($558,900)
OUT Carroll ($329,300) IN Atkinson ($83,400)

Atkinson on the bench, 286k in the bank so big trades next round.

Slim to none maybe but hey people get injuried u wouldn't expect stars like Cornes Ablett Black Brown Riewoldt etc etc to get injuried but it happens all the time.

I've got Shaw aswell and preying for no injury but it could happen

Without giving it a huge amount of thought yet...

OUT: Bird
IN: Browne(?)

OUT: NJ Brown
IN: Gilbee

Probably going to go with Houli out and Judd in, but may also have to do something with Riewoldt depending on how long he's out for.

My head is spinning with all the possibilities that may present themselves.

I've got Roo, so if Lyon's worst predictions are right I think he'll have to go- could then grab pretty much anyone for him, so RoK, Chappy, Buddy or Richo could come in (just from the most expensive I haven't got- there will be other cheaper guys I may also consider).

Also have Johnstone sitting there doing nowt, and he's probably at about his limit anyway, so he's worth thinking about- might need to cash him down though so I can afford more the following week. Stanton might be worth selling off as well. Really don't see the need to get rid of Houli at the moment regardless of his value- why would you lose someone who's gonna give you those scores most weeks?

And of course there are a few other cash cows almost ready to go. I have two more weeks of trading before I have to stop- I plan on having 9 trades left for the second half of the season- so I've got a lot of brow- furrowing thinking to do.

Expect many posts from munk3ymark...:D

I have Roo as well. Not sure what to do with him. At the moment I'm just going to put him on the bench and play Tippett instead. My upcoming league games are against bottom eight teams. I just wait for the casualty list from the tribute game and reassess then.

Easy trades for me this week:

Out: Craig Bird and Ben McKinley (Both have peaked)
IN: Steven Brown and Brad Johnson

Ok...need some advice.

I have Houli and Palmer in the midfield. I am thinking of trading out Bird for Browne and upgrading Houli to Mitchell.

However...I also have Waters and Gram in the backline...would you sure up the midfield OR sure up the backline this week?.

Out Bird, in Myers
Out Waters, in ??

happy to hear suggestions... :) Though I'm very annoyed that I have too do this trade.

bloody Waters, he's dragged me down long enough, I should have moved him for Ibbot when I had the chance...

(backs: Chad, Milburne, Guerra, Jones, Waite, Shaw)

I want Joel Mcdonald for Beau Waters.

So I can't trade Bird to Browne (Just short)

I'm thinking J Brown to Rookie,
then Gamble/Tippett to BJ the week after.

Thoughts?

My problems atm:
Waters
Wood
Armitage/Bird
J Brown

Thinking Bird and N Brown downgrading in the next few weeks, then Wood to Sandilands/Simmonds.

Joel Macdonald. :) That is a name that was only just recently brought onto my radar... (Namely cause my site had him listed only as a Mid... :( )

He would be a fantastic pickup... cheers :thumbsu:

unless Impromptu gets him, then I'll steer clear...

Embley/ Houli -> Browne

with money do:

Ellis -> Shaw

then next round:

Houli/ Embley -> Dal Santo/ Mitchell/ JMac/ Cooney/ McVeigh/ Salopek/ L Power (anyone cheap who is averaging over 105 or thereabouts)

originally planned to offload Houli, but Embley might be the better option with a high BE this week and average form. Houli however is up against SYD.

you could make the case that Houli shouldn't be going at all but the chance to upgrade two players for one downgrade is too tempting to pass up.

I've gone early and done my 2 trades, but I'm fairly happy.

OUT: Hodge, Ellis

IN: Bartel, Ibbotson

Ellis just wasnt performing for me, and Ibbotson looks a likely type. Gained some $ as well.

Wasn't happy losing Hodge but it seems like he'll miss a month or so. Bartel is a good replacement and rarely has a sub 100 week.

Team in full:
Defenders - H. Shaw, Johncock, B. Jones, Mattner, Ibbotson, N.J Brown, S. Thompson (Roos), C. Cornes, Proud
Midfielders - Bartel, B. Harvey, Cooney, Dal Santo, Palmer, Osbourne, Jack, Geary
Rucks - Cox, Wood, Hampson, Goldstein
Forwards - R.O'Keefe, Franklin, Pavlich, Porplyzia, Rioli, Hawkins, Tippett, J. Hill, D. O'Keefe

Only real problem now is Wood.
Hoping that Rioli, Hawkins and Tippett keep posting good scores.

Get a Stiffy in your backline.
I dont know if Mcdonald will have freedom when Drummond gets back (dont know when though.)

Anyway my trades;
Rioli to 94200 that i havent decided yet. Hopefully Valenti gets elevated.
N.J.Brown to Heath Shaw.

then the week after;
Harding to 94200 again
Houli to Bartel

And when Wona maxes out.
Wona to 94200
Palmer to GUN depending on who available.

cant wait :D

I only just noticed him. His worst week was 71 (way back in round 1) and he's had 4 100+ games and is one of the highest averaging backs.

Waters is ridiculous.

My backline will look like this:

Chad Cornes , Heath Shaw, Johncock, Mattner, McDonald, Bradshaw, Taylor (N Brown, Edwards).

Extremely happy with that considering my backs were a weak spot. Just need Chad to come back soon ;)

Damn it! I'm 10 k off a Didak to B. Johnson and Rioli to Chapman trade.

Oh well. I'll just do Mckinley to 94 k forward and Barlow to Milburn.

out cornes-in johncock

out J brown- in richo

very happy with the trades

richos in career best form and johncock gets a lot of the ball
