trying to finish as high as possible in the overalls. but have slipped quite a bit in the last 2 weeks. which i guess isn't surprising considering i seem to be doing more downgrading than upgrading at the moment.

but i can potentially stop the bleeding by bringing in 2 premiums this week. but at the expense of bringing in a cash cow in brennan/spurr. i might also add, that by bringing in brennan/spurr for ellis this week, it would allow me to upgrade bugg to a defender in 2 weeks worth about 500k (after i get 2 premium mids in next week) as opposed to having to sit tight with bugg if i skip the brennan/spurr boat.

Have had to go Shiel -> Zorko a week early due to the amount of donuts in my foward line
Then Ellis -> Thompson (NM)

Just have to hope neither Adams or Zorko get the dreaded green vest...

Gee, GWS carnage. I think I can avoid a donut with 2 trades IF Taylor Adams plays (on a long bench).

So looking at taking Bugg up to DThompson (or should I get Rance or Suckling for similar money?), ditching Shiel, flipping a non-playing GWS F/M into the middle and buying Sidebottom 3 weeks after I should have.

Still holding multiple Giants with negative break-evens... get on the park boys!

Ended up going Bugg > Spurr and Shiel > Thompson. Now have a midfield of Ablett, Pendlebury, Selwood, Thompson, Barlow, Horsley(MacDonald, C.Smith)

I'd go bugg to spurr.

But it also depends how much money you need this week to complete your other trade. I needed over $200,000 to upgrade Shiel to Thompson which is why I downgraded Bugg to Spurr instead of Ellis to Spurr. Ellis could come in handy for the round 11 byes too.

Freo has a month of tough ones leading up to the bye, but North (and Delaney) have got one of the easiest runs.
Next 4 North: Port, Bris, Hawks, Bye, GCS
Next 4 Freo: Hawks, WC, Adel, Rich, Bye

Don't stress about missing Brennan or Spurr. They look ok, but they're not scoring well enough nor have enough job security to throw your plans out the window to target (like Horsley was last week). I think they'll probably do reasonably well, but there's always more cows mooing along the line.

I know exactly why they did it - and it's not for "user friendliness".

If you look on their trade stats (ins/outs/etc) there were 2 types of people last year.

1 - Those who traded early without checking teams
2 - Those who made proper trades last minute (thurs night/friday)

That means for most of the week their trade stats were only made by people not trading seriously.

With the reverse trade, most people now make a trade monday and then confirm it friday. So their trade stats will be much more accurate and include a lot more people and serious trades, not just willy nilly monday trades.
