4. Gardiner
3. Wirrpunda
2. Cousins
1. Judd

I thought the magpies had taken our measure and were going to end up on top, but in the second half of the last quarter our boys found something inside and lifted their game to kick the last 5 goals.

This match had me on edge.

5. Embley - Excellent marking and precise kicking.. unbelievable game, this kid is going places.
4. Wirrapunda - Played the third man in several contests and marked well.
3. Gardiner - Good rucking at times and excellent marking.
2. Kerr - In every pack getting the hard balls.
1. Cousins - this vote could go to anyone.. but cousins kept cool and calm, also delivered well.

5- Andrew Embley- 25 disposals, 9 Marks, 4 Goals.
Game winning goals, BOG, his greatest game EVER!
4. Cousins- Back to last year's form. Workhorse in the centre.
3. Gardiner- Battled in the ruck, dominated overhead and kicked an inspirational goal.
2. Wirrpunda- slotted back in nicely- 20 disposals from defence.
1. Judd- Low possession volume, very high impact.

Apologies to Huntaa, Glass, and Samp Doggy dog.

5. Embley - Career high performance.
4. Wirrpunda - Rock solid in defence.
3. Gardiner - Four quarters, but no quarter given. Fraser who? McKee who? Go get yourselves a ruckman Pies!
2. Cousins - Great to see the captain shake off the last few weeks
1. Jones - Tough to pick the last spot, based on danger up forward (even if he kicked 1.2).

Mucho apologies to Humm (last quarter brilliance), Kerr (mucho great return), Judd (magic as always even with little ball), Sampi (another nightmare for opposition defenders).

1. Chick

before people start going on about how he was on the bench for so long etc... and this is without watching the replay, just from what I saw at the game ... he was on Buckley, and gave him nothin' the whole time, then when he went off, Bucks bent Chad over .... and other players have been given votes for less than half a game of quality!!

5. Embley - took a lot of marks in the forward 50 and kicked goals that put us back into the game
4. Gardiner - dominated the ruck yet again
3. Wirrpunda - great to have him back, took some great marks down back. He kicked a lot of huge bombs when kicking out.
2. Judd - shrugged off tackles with ease and kicked some lovely goals.
1. Cousins - not back to his best, but had some midfield influence.

Apologies for Chick, Sampi, Jones, Green

Still buzzing after the magnificent win (although it could be the large qty of alcohol consumed over the 4 quarters :)

5 - Embley - thoroughly deserves the top votes today 2 pressure goals in the final term.
4 - Wirrpunda - stopped many a forward thrust in defence - good to see him back
3 - Gardy - what a champ (enough said)
2 - Cousins - getting back to his best - still waiting to see the real Cuz this year but was great today
1 - Jones - underrated - chased, tackled and never stopped trying

A lot of unlucky lads again today with Samps, Kerr, Chick (early), Judd was brilliant in 1st and last qtrs.

We are playing as a team at the moment and it's a pleasure to see!!!!

5. Embley - best on ground and showed the doubters why Woosha and I have always believed in him. The work rate was great, but the goals under pressure were just outstanding
4. Wirrpunda - so good in defence that it was embarrassing to watch the opposition try to stop him. Made Neon Leon look like the show pony he is
3. Gardiner - let's not doubt how strong this man is - beat three of them in the hitouts and kicked a goal that kept us in it at the time
2. Cousins - back to the captain's level we know he's capable of - had he not held the line in the second quarter, I don't believe we'd have won
1. Jones - consistent game, excellent overhead, second efforts on the ground magnificent

Many apologies due:
Chick for establishing a potentially match-winning lead,
Judd for the general class and impact around goals,
Glass for his spoiling game,
McIntosh,
Green,
Sampi,
Matera,
Kerr,
Carroll,
Banfield

There's no "i" in team and they're all putting in.
