Interesting this week to see if Flanders comes back in. Personally I would give it another week, which would be frustrating for him because this is his chance to impress with touk out. Thought Davies had some good moments against Richmond and might be a good defensive option against Oliver/ petracca.

Suggest those touting for the inclusion of Flanders need to watch the VFL game. He would not have been in our best ten despite having good stats. His hardball-gets were virtually zero. Scouted the packs waiting for an easy kick. His defensive work was close to zero.
IMO our two most over-rated players are Luko and Flanders.

Witts playing his 150th in this game has me feeling more optimistic because I know how revered he is within the four walls. The boys got up for Swallow's 200th against Geelong earlier this year. Can lightning strike twice?

hope everyone gets along to this game. no footy on the coast for 50 days after this match - farcical really
We play the Lions at the Gabba in two weeks from now so we're not completely starved but I understand what you're saying. This is the unfortunate reality of our deal with the NT. We were always going to play back-to-back games in Darwin and because those are considered "home" games, we were guaranteed to have at least one away game either side of the Darwin games. That means at least a month away from Heritage was always going to happen and the AFL decided to throw a bye in there for good measure. If it makes a difference, we have back-to-back home games at Heritage directly after that period so I guess that kind of makes up for it. It'll just be annoying to not have the opportunity to go to a true home game for a while but it's also more incentive to go to the QClash at the Gabba in a fortnight from now.

No Weller :( surprised Berry got a gig. Dew really giving everyone a chance this year

It said on the AFL app that Ainsworth went off injured in the last few minutes.
Is it just 'soreness' from these guys or is something actually up?

Sadly gone from a slight chance to no chance.
No way can that forward line score enough goals against a high scoring team like Melbourne.
Unfortunate.
Are you suggesting that we will be missing scoring machines Holman and Ainsworth - 2 goals combined per game? Surely, Chol wakes up and scores 5 :)

Well, we’ve replaced them with Berry and Flanders. Not sure they goal power potency is any higher, but I’m hoping. Berry in particular is fighting for a spot. This is his chance.
