Watch what successful teams do and ask yourself whether some of the better half backs in recent times are good defenders. Are guys like Matthew Boyd anything other than average defensively? Nope, and that's not their primary responsibility anyway. That's always been the case for one or two players in every setup, the difference is that players like Mayes coming off half back are more important than ever due to the way the game is played at the moment.

Please stop with the forward flank posts. As we've established plenty of times, he doesn't fit the mould of a modern forward flanker or winger.

Crowd size is indicative of performance. The club is an absolute joke. Lose by at least 50 points a week, get about 130 points scored against it each week, lose top end talent at the end of each season, sack coaches at regular intervals. Why watch it? Nobody there seems to take it personally.
Last week Geelong copped it for not tackling. Players almost looked offended by that last night and took it upon themselves to better it. None of our players take it personally. They shrug and say "we're a young team."
Then we cry woe is me with injuries and player exodus. The side that is currently flogging us has lost just as much talent recently, doesn't have a top 10 draft pick out there, yet still manages to look like a football side out there. It's just embarrassing
