I genuinely think the Suns are every chance to win. They have not been blown off the park when playing away. Our confidence is down, injuries, young team and the Ken factor. Especially if the game is close heading into last quarter. They have nothing to loose. Bad feeling

You know we lost by 12 goals in Adelaide 3 weeks ago right, lol.

Hoping to stay close to you guys this week. Not expecting a win, but a competitive showing would be good, especially after the last few meetings.

Good luck!

Been said a few times now Butters was rested. Not about a wake up call, just a freshen up.
We could have let Butters have the 2 weeks off of training and still had him play vs Adelaide and he would have done more and been fitter than Johnson.

After them, we have: Lienert (4); Farrell, and Broadbent (2); then, Garner, Frampton, and Atley (1).

We also have eight players with around 50 games experience between them. Atley, Butters, Duursma, Farrell, Frampton, Garner, Leinert and Rozee have all played less than 10 games a piece.

We would probably have to go back to 1997 to find a similar group of inexperienced players in the one side. If you add Marshall, Drew and Johnson to that list then no one can accuse Ken and co of not supporting a youth first policy in 2019.

lol, we don’t go in for the kill.

If we have you on the ropes, we won’t land the knockout blow, we’ll prop you up in the corner and still give you a puncher’s chance.

Because Ports farken

Why not just write Bassett...!

He had to earn his spot. Would of
most likely been in if wasn’t suspended for two games.
They must do initials to save characters. They state at the start of the pressers on twitter who is talking also.

The Suns this year based on current ladder spots at end of Rd 8 with GC 14th.

Wins
8th. Fremantle Rd 2 +3 at home Freo 5 wins
10th Bulldogs. Rd 3 +5 at Docklands 4 wins
18th Carlton... Rd 4 +2 at home 1 win

Loses
12th St Kilda... Rd 1 -1 at Docklands 4 wins
15th Melbourne Rd 8 -1 at home 3 wins
===================================
3rd. West Coast Rd 7 -23 at Perth Stadum 5 wins
5th. Brisbane... Rd 6 -49 at home 5 wins
6th. Adelaide... Rd 5 -73 at AO 5 wins

So tight games home and away against sides around their spot on the ladder, clear loses against higher up teams.

The result will say a fair bit where we are at. Lose and we are in trouble. Just win and it confirms we are just going and bottom of the middle class sides. Ok we have 8 players out but they have a few out, Thompson, Hanley, Lemmans, Miller, Rankine and Young, so injuries wont make a massive net difference between the sides.

NB on Billy - "Last two weeks exceptional"

"attitude all pre-season very good"

"one of our best kicks for goals"

So .. why hasn't he been given a chance to play until now, especially last week ..

We should be focused on scoring goals from direct, not going to the pockets

because until now the focus has been on developing Todd Marshall.
