Pretty hard to know what to feel after this game.

The effort was excellent, losing Marshall and Crouch for so long messed up our structures and we didn’t look the same after that.

We actually played well, we’re the better team by a mile but couldn’t kick straight and it’s shocking.

Actually terrible amateur level kicking. Completely choked.

Our performance way exceeded my expectations though and if we kicked straight I think we win this fairly comfortably. Geelong weren’t ready for our pressure and intensity but in the end won pretty comfortably on the scoreboard.

IF this is the standard for the year we should be in every game. Big IF.

The club has to take a fair bit of responsibility for publicly dumping pressure on King from the moment he walked in the door. He's playing as if he has to be the messiah, and is carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders.

King dominated a tough competition. Unfortunately couldn't nail the set shots. He wasn't alone in that tonight.

Effort was there against a team full of cheats and blatant umpire bias. Losing Marshall and crouch for 20 mins hurt.

Don't know about the ins and the small forwards.

Next week King needs to be put in defense or in the VFL. His goal kicking problem needs to be addressed, and if that means moving him out of the forward line for a while so be it.
At least he held some marks, though.

Tried our guts out but just not good enough or confident enough to put the score on the board.

Marshall and Crouch going off killed our momentum and the umpiring was putrid.

This is another one of those “recession we had to have” seasons.

Best effort of the season so far by a country mile, super proud of the boys tonight. Play like that every week and we play finals.

Shout out to Max King for single handedly deflating us every time he marked ball inside 50 though. Amazing set of hands but couldn’t kick my bollocks from a metre away.

We didn't get reward for our dominance. Not on the scoreboard, and not from the umpires. We're just not there.

This game was a massive positive for mine.

We had our gameplan and effort at a level good enough to beat any side in the comp.

Execution was clearly terrible, any other night we would have won that.

But don't feel too down. This was only positive.
