Yeah, but now is the time to instill this into the young players that they dont get a game unless it happens consistently. The seniors aren't exactly being rewarded, as they'll most likely not get a contract next year.

Cox in his prime would obliterate the current day rucks.

Max Gawn is an All-Timer (and he’s probably eclipsed Cox in that regard given his current age and level of output) and Witts has the height that would trouble Coxy (like big Sandilands did at times).

I think he’d sort out a guy like Xerri, English or Darcy but seasoned pros like Witts and Gawn would be very much a handful.

Lol -Cox would absolutely destroy Gawn in tap work and strength, and more than match him in endurance. Not to mention contested marking and kicking for goal.

He would definitely cover him in kicking for goal that is fair but I think you are selling Gawn short on his ruck work. Gawn is still the hardest working ruck in the league right now too, age 33. Dean retired at 33 and had spent a few seasons sharing duties with NN at that stage.

Do not get me wrong here - I am very much a Dean Cox aficionado - Max Gawn is a very worthy comparison and a hell of a player.
