Mini is such a reactive idiot. Last week was the week to go with dual rucks and it would have made sense. Flynn got pansted and now he brings a second ruck against a bloke that is ok but bot a great ruckmen.

As promising as Reids been he’s only conjured 4 goals this season and been goaless for multiple games now. Jilliams has double the amount of goals in less games and of lates been much more involved in games that Archer has been. Also after last weekend scare this would have been the best time to rest Archer.

Incredibly painful team selection week after week

West Coast are set to go with a dual ruck-set up to tackle Richmond skipper Toby Nankervis after Bailey Williams joined Matt Flynn on the flight to Melbourne.
It comes as draftee Tom Gross and defenders Sandy Brock and Harry Edwards joined Williams as potential inclusions, with Jack Williams appearing to be omitted after not being spotted on the flight.

Victorians Campbell Chesser and wingman Harvey Johnston were also on the flight despite not being named in the squad, while injured premiership hero Dom Sheed also flew out.
Confirmed

In - Brock, Gross, Billiams, Long
Out - McGovern, Bo Allan, Jilliams, Owies

Hedwards travelling emergency

Honestly it’s nuffy territory to start being a mini hater but each team selection makes doesn’t make it easy.
Trying new things out, I imagine.

We haven't had Bailey and Flynn together yet and I daresay that for all his faults, Bailey is better in the ruck & around the ground than JWill.

I'd personally have kept JWill ahead of Reid though, as he's a more reliable forward target.

I liked it initially. The dropping of Kelly was a big tick.

And then it was quickly undone by the fact he wet his pants and reacted by bringing Kelly straight back into the senior side after 1 very average WAFL game, when he clearly didn't deserve it.

He then backs it immediately up by dropping Gross.

Then there's the Allen in defense thing.... the Brock/Hedwards thing, leaving Jilliams out.... Archer Reid still at full forward despite not kicking a goal for 3 weeks... plus god knows what is going on with Owies and how he's allowed to continue with Kelly

While I haven't agreed with all his choices, I think the carry on about them has been way over the top personally

He's exploring the list and throwing things around. We've had one of the youngest average ages on field this year and a bunch of debutants, so he's also playing alot of kids too

Nothing’s been confirmed yet.

Long didn’t travel. Owies did.

"Mini, Mini" - a young coach's strange, erotic journey from MRP to MCG

He's definitely trying to work out what he's got in terms of cattle. I think what he's looking for in this first half of the year is not really related to trying to win games of footy. We are right back at relaying the foundations of the playing group. I'm all for doing it properly and not trying to spackle a few wins over the top of the rot.

I'm not sledging you, but does it ever occur to you that maybe there's a lot you don't understand about football and the coach? I mean clearly that's the case because all those things you mentioned have been properly explained on here numerous times by posters and the coach himself. There's valid explanations for all of that, but you don't like them, or won't accept them...
The one thing I agree with is Owies, we have better options. It's a bit like having two Cripps, except the real Cripps is better? Anyway, we have a Long Champion in the wings...

This, all day long!!
They're always trying to win, but it's after the fact, the experimental fact.

Got to wait and see till it’s confirmed but dropping Jack Williams and retaining archer will a massive cross against him. Archers promising but hasn’t kicked a goal in close to a month and his impact his been dwindling. Kid was on the verge of needing a rest pre ankle issue last week and after that incident needed to be rest.

I can understand the exploring the list and etc but the two ruck combo really should have come out a week earlier if not round one when we went up against witts (if not the next game we come against an elite ruckmen). As a coach he should have been expecting Gawn to go big and done something about it last week but him and the team got their pants pulled down now he is reacting to it a week later against Nank who won’t have anywhere close to the inpact gawn had last week.

The subbing and eventual dropping of Gross is another massive cross. Gross had a great debut and backed it up well and certainly deserved his spot ahead of few other kids and a handful of other seniors.
