Gross needs to play from the first bounce; give him time to adjust to the speed. Sub him late if he gets gassed, but that should be the plan going forward. He's only 18 so I don't know that he'd be able to play out 4 qtrs if he isn't subbed due to injury elsewhere.

Take it easy - he is being developed.

2 run down HTB’s with the game in the balance… I love the kid but if that was Tim Kelly or Liam Duggan you’d never hear the end of it from certain posters on this board.

He’ll learn from it.

So you pick two blokes who have played 300 games almost combined and equate him to a third or fourth gamer

People can blame Tom Gross as much as they want to, but let’s face it, if Waterman kick straight we would’ve won that by two goals easily. Once again, it’s our senior players inability to do the basics that have cost us the game

Came in late in the game, probably got over-excited.
Got involved a lot.
I think he'll learn a lot from this game.

30 seconds before that Flynn dropped a sitter from a kick in with the corridor open. Kid provided a lot of drive when he came on was taking the game on when we were stagnant and Richmond were forcing stoppages.

Mini cracking it at the Gross tackle was chefs kiss. Got what you deserved campaigner.

Gross had to rely on his teammates in that moment and Graham [senior player, leadership group] clearly told him to go for it. Too little too late we could have been 4 goals in front at that point if not for far more glaring mistakes from countless others earlier in the game.
