Shaw, Heath- vs. Geelong. Solid scores of 89 and 115 against them last year. And the Cats allow some backman points

Newman, Chris- vs. Essendon. Been in dazzling form in last 2 weeks. 140 & 121. Add to a 162 and a 101 from last year, and Newman looks tasty as a smoky. Although, Essendon don't get the ball into their forward line much, so he might struggle a touch

Dal Santo, Nick- vs. Brisbane. Will get Sherman on him, who has done two good jobs in the last 2 weeks. But he has an average you cannot ignore, 151 in last 5 games against the Lions. Including an average of 170.5 in 2006.

Cornes, Kane- vs. Sydney. Will pick up Kirk/Goodes. Struggled in Round 2 this year against them. But has previously picked up some decent scores

Mitchell, Sam- vs. Melbourne. 131 in Round 1 against the Dees. Been in good form

Cox, Dean- vs. Adelaide. Gonna pick him up this week. Scored 146 this year against them. Up against Griffen who got dominated by White this week. Averaging 147 in last 2 games. And big against Adelaide in the past

Brown, Jonathan- vs. St. Kilda. Coming off a good week. Scored 135 against the Saints last year, and 128 the year before. Will be hard to stop

Franklin, Lance- vs. Melbourne. Destroyed them for 139 in Rd 1. Coming off 2 big scores. Bookmark him for another big one, but hope his inconsistency doesn't kick in, with Buddy not being able to string 3 good games together yet.

Pavlich, Matthew- vs. Carlton. Waite will go with him, as he did with Brown this week. And if not Jamison. Good form. Hard to stop

Rieowldt, Nick- vs. Brisbane. If he's back. Will get taken by Patfull. When he plays Brisbane healthy, he seems to be able to get big scores, the highest being 202.

Deledio, Brett- vs Essendon. Second smoky of the week. Big scores against Essendon last year. Could come good.

In order:

  1. Dal Santo
  2. Cox
  3. Brown
  4. Newman
  5. Riewoldt
  6. Franklin

Got all of those bar Cornes, Mitchell and Delidio. What to do, what to do...

Ablett is likely to run amok, probably kick 3 goals and get 20 odd touches, I am deciding out of him and Pavlich, he might destroy us at the dome.

I dont want to pick ablett as i support the pies...cant help but think of supercoach during the game...il save myself the trouble..
Go coxxy or mitchell !!
Never a backman or forward ever again !!

Forward and backmen are fine!!!!!

PAV is a ded set good choice week in week out and how can anyone look past cornes when he is fit and fireing.

For me its a choice between

Mitchell, Cox, or franklyn this week

My mini-analsysis of this weeks captain choice for me (players from my team)

Favourite/Most Popular Captain choice: Cox- Against the Crows, going to run wild and its going to resemble a demolition derby. Cox to smash them.

The wildcard: Gablett- Never play a person who is actually playing against the team which I support. But I might change this policy after I chose Shaw last week ahead of Dal Santo.

Most likely choice: Dal Santo, averages 150 in last 5 games against Lions. Enough said.

I have too many options (for once).

Dal Santo was my capt last week (145 :thumbsu:).
Franklin will tear apart Melbourne.
Pavlich will tear apart Carlton.
Cox will rip Adelaide's ruckmen.

My choices
1. Cox
2. Dal Santo
3. Franklin

Dal vs Cox will be on my mind all week but.....

I'm struggling this week. I want to pick Richo but it would mean going against Ablett and that didn't turn out too well last week with Shaw. But then Knights has come out and said that he may play Lovett-Murray on Richo which may get him 300 points. But on the other hand Ablett is playing Collingwood who don't have a tagger that I know of.

Tipped to rain in Perth, for those who might choose Cox.

Thats just great! :mad::thumbsd:

I don't know who to pick now.

I have these options -

Judd
Pavlich
Franklin
J.Brown
H.Shaw (No fricken way) :D

Maybe Franklin (go by my balls) or Pavlich against our crap, depleted defense?

Hmmmm

damn.

do i have the kahunas to pick buddy. against demons..

Was thinking the same thing. Don't think my balls are big enough! :D

Out of interest how does Cox go in the wet? I can't ever remember seeing him play in the wet to be honest.

Would he still be capable of dominating the Crows ruck division in the rain?

Probably not as well as he would in the wet.

Could still score a 90-110 but I reckon a 130+ would be out of reach.

Buddy could be the breaker from some this week. Not me I lack courage!

Dal could get the gig again for me.

Storm is about to hit Perth around 5-6am tomorrow morn and rain set to be on and off for 5 days. Will be slippery no matter what.

Keeping an eye on the weather radar!! (Taking this game too far now?!! :))

Taking this game too far, surely not! :p:D

I reckon someone needs to make the mega ubber totally serious site that shows players who stats get affected by rain, mud, telstra dome surfaces, UFO's, and anything else you can think of for the week. All factors then get calculated and out comes a statistical ideal choice for your captain for the week! :p

But I love Big Cox..

I'm also fond of our star ruckman too..

Decisions, Decisions.

Its a winnable game this week too.. tough but winnable..

Hayes and Pavlich might be safer bets than Buddalenko or Coxy.

You have no chance in hell of beating the Crows mate, they are a class outfit! :D

Back to the captain discussion though I reckon Pavlich may tear us a new ahole without Jamison at full back now. I can see no-one stopping him, not even Waite.

What was Franklins score last time against the dees? I think it was only around 130 if I am correct?

Still have not decided:confused:
My list to pick from -
Ablett
Bartel
Cross
Cox
Buddy
Burton
J.Brown

I think I have narrowed it down to either Ablett or Buddy
Do I go the safe bet or take the risk:confused:
Decisions , Decisions:D

We wont beat Adelaide Sparts.

And I wont touch Hayes after his 75 a fortnight ago!! :D

Yeah hopefully Adelaide's forwardline will run riot again! Go the Birdman! And the Porps! And Tippett! It's scary having the entire Adelaide forward line in your team.
