Tell that to Wingard.
I will. Port haven't won a premiership with him yet.

Hawthorn have and there's not a single player they rely on to post big scores each week. It's a team effort, and every player in the side contributes goals.

When Port hit the front, all of a sudden I wondered who could reliably kick the goals to put Freo back in front. The only person I could think of was Fyfe. And that was when the side was only a couple of points down.

Does anyone have faith at the moment that this side can win from a losing position in the fourth quarter?

Lost 5 games last year and drew one. Still made top 4. Season far from over.
We've loss four games, still got to play Geelong twice, port & hawks again. Sydney are back in form, port have a good draw, hawks and cats are certainties, magpies playing well. We're not top four material this year.

And three of those games are at home. Agree we are not playing like top 4 material; but last year we lost to all of the sides above us all year. It was the confidence and form that Freo deduced from the second half of the year which resulted in them knocking of Geelong at their home in a qualifying final and winning a prelim final. Freo gets on a run after the bye and it may again have the form and confidence to beat Hawthorn and Port at Subiaco and Geelong away.

Duffield will probably have a holiday for the head bump and Crosier is not good enough at the moment
Hill has a knee problem.
Mac,Zac and Ibbo in for those three and if someone kills it tomorrow for Peel Clancee,MDB ,Spurr( gee its tough to put him into the maybes)on the chopping block

Obviously no name I give is going to satisfy you, so I won't bother. I'll just say we should be playing 2 tall forwards, even if that means playing Silvagni in defense and moving one of our tall defenders forward. Tall forwards are too important to just neglect to play one if our first choice is injured.

Pending WAFL form we should look at these players

We need more class, so we must look at Ibbotson and Sylvia

Morabito would add outside run and Dawson should also come in.

I think Crozier has to come out. Duffield may get a week based on our run in the MRP.

So 2 out, and 4 potential ins based on who is fit and who performs. If Sylvia has big game in the WAFL I would like to bring him in just to give our forward line a bit more spark.

I just want to see Pearce dropped. Worst on ground by a mile in last years GF I have been waiting for him to be dropped ever since, hopefully this is the week

Silvagni tried hard and if any of our tall defenders have had an impact forward in the past it would be worth a try ,unfortunately its been tried and its failed.
Clark was our 2nd tall forward today and kicked three .Good job by Clark,.Pav tried but couldnt hit the scoreboard .It wasnt the tall forwards fault,Ballas had a shocker,Hill injured and the mids apart from Fyfe and Suban had no impact at all forward.

Unfortunately I'm not real confident on either Barlow or Hill playing next week either. Hill re-injured his knee and Barlow looked to be hampered running around all game.

Not going to talk about specific players because it really depends how people play tomorrow in the WAFL.

But something's gotta give. We can't keep on scoring 65 points and expect to win games. We need to bring in SOMEONE who can take a grab and help put on some scoreboard pressure, because right now we look impotent when we go forward. I hesitate to say the game has changed or we've been found out (round 1 against Collingwood proves that's incorrect), we just need to find the right mix. And it can't just be because we're missing Walters... he doesn't add 4-5 goals a game by himself.

He'd be kicking a couple and giving at least one off. And balla would have their second small defender to deal with instead of their best. Our ball use going forward would be better.

I can see sonny being a big part of a 4 goal turnaround in attack because his replacements have added little to our goal scoring potency.

Injuries, mrp, form and lack of backup in wafl due to the first two points have all been contributors also. Have had pretty horrible luck with injuries, and a poor run with mrp.

I wonder if Golden Boy Chad will get reported for his hit on silva. Pav got two weeks for that last year. Odds of duff getting done for his bump on wingard? No idea. Maybe they'll ignore both incidents so that chad avoids a suspension.

You can't have watched the game if you think mdb deserves to miss next week.

I think we need to develop another lockdown small defender too.

Maybe De Boer can be that lockdown small defender. Playing him in the forward line can't be allowed to continue. We just can't afford to play a forward who can't kick 35m. It severely reduces your forward options knowing that there's no point spotting up one of your forwards on a lead because he'll still be out of range. It also means that the opposition can run off him too easily because he's simply not dangerous around goal.

Playing De Boer forward is a big part of the reason we only kick 10-11 goals every week.

Isn't that what Zac Clarke was doing when he kicked 3.1?

There are a few spots up for grabs next week, let's see who wants them. Sylvia, Mora, Tabs, Kep, Ibbo all should be men possessed tomorrow to press for a game.
Thought Mayne & DPearce were both good today.
Duffield surely won't go. Was no force & wingards thrown his head back. Few of those Port boys did that. Grey, Wingard & Monfries
