We have missed Miller in the midfield badly. Just another body to rotate in and help alleviate tired boys.

Lads tried but got absolutely swept off the park by the end.

Disappointing really. Our defense has held up well, but our midfield and forward line is just not good enough a the moment.

Can't have Murdoch in the team next week after his last month. Joyce did some good things but not often enough. Need to draft some good back flankers.
King very underdone and I'm not sure we can afford to play both him and Lukosius the same week.
Martin, Miles, Holman all poor as well

That 2nd half was the Suns of the last 2-3 seasons.
Port had 8 kids with less than 10 games in their team so no excuses at all. The quality of ball going into the 50 was poor but the lack of pressure as it was swept out was embarrassing.
Disappointing and we move on.

Macpherson with 12 tackles. Good.

Good on King for getting his debut game, and he will (fingers crossed) be a player, but this was not the game to bring him in. Needed Brodie/ another option to go through the middle and/or give us a presence on the field with a few players having off games. With our game plan being very defensive while we are learning we do not need 3KPFs roaming around. We need quicks who can get on their bike and stream forward (Lemmens/Rankine when they get back).

Murdoch needs a spell. Too bad Hanley won’t be back for a few.

We are a young team, and as such winning away from home is always a huge ask, but we just weren’t good enough for the full game today unfortunately.
