Yes, this statement can be broken down in many ways.

Firstly, I don't see Miller as being in Post's spot. I see him in Griffo's spot, or any other KPF who actually earns it.

Secondly, Post may very well not be the future. If he is, I'd like to see him get games after weeks of good form in the VFL, and not gifted runs where he can hack it up a bit.

I agree you can't make a simple statements about future, as possibly Miller might be the next premiership team.

Anyway, Post has been playing the crash bang forward at the Burgers (and doing it well by all reports) so i see that he was meant to be playing the crash bang forward role at the Tiges. Griffo needs and makes space, and plays a far different game to Miller.

Out: Grimes
In: One of tall defenders.

I don't want to see Post down there. He's learning the forward role, no point in confusing the situation and changing the role. I would consider Miller, as he has done the role before. but i would much prefer Gourdis if at all possible, as he plays Grimes role the most similar.

Hellbig and Farmer swapped as starting player / sub.

Re: Changes next week

Miller comes straight back in. The only thing saving Post is Grimes out injured and the brains trust giving him a leg up in confidence by retaining him in the 1s.
Apart from that he was out of his depth last night. Tuck looks to have missed the bus now for sure and certain...he will catch the same one Thurst is gunna catch..;)
Is it stopping just outside Sydney?

Re: Changes next week

Agree with the sentiments on Grigg.

Has not laid a tackle in the last four weeks is a joke for a guy playing HBF.

Very much a one way runner but that happens when you get players from Carlton.

They only thing I will defend him on is a couple of times he was caught in the back pocket with nothing to kick to and the bombers got to him. In that situation he needs to kick it long to space instead of running towards the goals.

I think that's the big reason why Dimma is playing the guys like Conca, Grigg and Houli in the backline, to teach me the defensive side of there game and if they don't do the hard stuff such as tackling they wont get game time in the middle.

So which one are you?

Think they'll give White another week (therefore another 2 given the bye).

People forget how playing in the VFL can drag you down. Malthouse has said he would rather players not play than play VFL. Post needs another couple of games to get up to speed. Ditto Farmer.

Grimes out, Miller in. Post to backline

Grigg was probably 1st or 2nd in our best and fairest after the brisbane game where he shut out a rampant Black in the last QTR. Ever since then he has been played more off half back and has not been as effective a player.

I highly doubt he would get dropped, as he is still getting 20 plus possesions, and his size, he has the flexibility of playing on a 3rd tall defender, medium sized half forward, playing in the centre/wing and half forward.

White will probably miss this week to play it safe with the bye next week.

Helbig out for Webberly who can play half back and allow Lids permanent move to midfield and release Grigg to the mid too.

Hislop has earnt his place, I would bring him in for either Grimes or Farmer, Miller will come in and go up forward so the MC then have to go with either Post as the 3rd tall defender or against Port do they just go with Grigg as the 3rd tall down back and play that extra runner
(webs , farmer or slops)

You have to be kidding me. So Hislop plays a couple of good games at Coburg and he is straight in for Farmer who came on as a sub when the heat was on and got involved in plays that were crucial to us.
Give it up dude. Hislop has earnt JS atm. ;)
