Not too late to get on board. Still decent cash to make (80 - 150k realistically) and should have good JS.

Roughead or NicNat are equally good picks imo. Both at a good price and both should be fairly consistent scorers. NicNat still cheapish, Roughead has really slimmed down and picked up some midfield time. Buddy still uncertain (that being said I've grabbed Buddy, but being so far behind I'm taking some risks to try and catch up).
 
Just loaded up Footynerd for the first time. Got a LOT of players missing round 13. Ablett, Swan, Pendles, Watson and O'Meara, and that's just my midfield! Time to reverse my trades

If you haven't picked up Footynerd yet, seriously get onto it!

Sort of the reason I'm curious everyone is going to Watson this week in the mids - I've gone Fyfe for his round 11 bye, surely a better option at a similar price?
 
After trades Midfield now stands as:

Swan, Ablett, Watson, Dangerfield, Swallow, Hodge, JPK, Barlow. Down to playing 4 rooks this week and hopefully make that 3 next week.

Trading in Watson would give me a midfield of:

Ablett, Swan, Watson, Scooter, Cotchin, Priddis, Moloney, O'Meara (Lonergan, Kommer)

Tough choices. If it was me I'd go option three, get another game into Staker, get Thurlow's price rise, get Watson and a reasonable amount of cash to upgrade. But how does that leave you with the round 13 bye? It's a good dilemma to have, especially with that midfield :thumbsu:

Thanks mate. I have option 3 set at the moment, until the teams come out. Seems like the way to go, hopefully Neade gets omitted so I don't cop his price drop.

It would leave me with 6 Round 13 byes in the midfield (Ablett, Swan, Watson, O'Meara, Kommer, Lonergan) though I'll be offloading Kommer, Lonergan and maybe JOM before then, which will leave me with 3, assuming I don't trade any other 13's in. I'm looking at trading in Kennedy for Moloney (not sure when) and would like Pendles as my last mid upgrade after the byes.
 
Vlastuin in for Moloney. I see them averaging similar anyway and vlas has a shitload more to make than him. Frustrated that I chose hodge over him last week because of his draw, but you can't win them all.
Mayes to staker. No brainer, allows for upgrades next week and mayes won't see much price increase for while.

Yeah good call. As much as I want Watson... Fyfe is looking like a better option for me. In my notes from earlier in the year it's got - NOTE TO SELF: **GET FYFE**

Considering downgrading Hartlett to Thurlow if Heath isn't named. Then I'll have $200k for a Pittard/Heath upgrade next week after Goodes --> Fyfe. My gut is telling me to hold Hartlett but hopefully he's suspended so the choice gets made for me. Looking forward to getting Gibbs back in my side.

No problem. Not going to lie, I'm envious of your midfield! Did you ever consider Sam Mitchell over Watson, before the bye? Costs an extra 10k or so but doesn't have a round 13 bye and has attractive opponents coming up. I'm pretty sure that's what I'm gonna do this week, still leaves me with a few holes but a decent midfield. My dilemma is who to trade, if I go Stevenson to Thurlow I can go Viney to Mitchell, but that leaves me with Pittard, which is somewhere I do not want to be :eek: Thoughts?

Yeah I was considering him and Kennedy as well. But I don't think Watson will be this cheap again all year, he's a bargain because I think he'll be a top 5 mid. With a round 11 bye, Mitchell could be a good round 12/13 upgrade target.

I reckon that'd be a pretty good move, Pittard isn't going to lose any cash so it won't hurt you having him on the bench for another week.

Yeah I'm in that boat mate. Had a look at Hartlett's hit, it is clearly intentional conduct (3 points), Impact was low (1 point) and Contact was to the body (1 point). From this I can say he will most likely get a week unfortunately.

Stevenson to Thurlow, like everyone else, is definately locked away.

Have decided against Ellis, has a bad bye for my backline.

Contemplating Webster as well, since I have zero Round 12 byes in my backline (excluding the aforementioned Thurlow).

Also completely out of right field contemplating getting Corey Enright, has a good run the next few weeks and as mentioned an amazing bye, averaging 88

Il think more about this later of course

So at a rough guess

Stevenson -> Thurlow
Wines -> Enright through DPP

Round 9

Macaffer -> Staker
Whitfield -> midfielder premo

Yeah Watson is about as cheap as he'll get, surely? Now is the ideal time to strike (hopefully).

Work on a few more upgrades by end of round 10 and then do some sideways trading over the byes. Does anyone expect a full team every week of the byes?
