Technically I guess Archer Reid has maxed out as well, but we don’t exactly have a downgrade option in the ruck.

AReid has maxxed out but may miss this week due to his injury - if so he'll be a good loophole donut and can be traded to Maley if he's on the bubble and selected in round 10

Fwiw, no jokes or anything, L Ryan looks 4-5kg overweight and he was working up the fat sweats on the bench the other night, was huffing and puffing like you wouldn't believe.
Been looking at him, too, still might, just on price / history, but not sure what go is. He was unable to fully train a couple of times of late, he might have some sort of niggle. Or he just likes a deep fried Mars Bar.

Personally looked at / looking at LDU, fwiw.
Don't love this week, Dunkley might go to him, but otherwise OK draw, has been looking better the last handful.
Steele in theory better, but in practice he'll have episodes with the knee, play through them and pump out 60's.
We're shopping at NQR with our budgets, they're gunna have spots and lumps, goes with the price class.

getting bottomed out premos now, building up bank to grab butters/bont during the byes to be top liners.

Definitely, looks back to his hard running best (first injury free ps in a while). Will be a POD all year too, as most will pick other Suns.

Really wish I'd have swapped him in for TDK last week.

Having said that, 3 tough games leading up to the bye.
I'm seriously considering;
- English. Has found some form. Price about to leap. Has Darwin (good scoring ground for rucks) then Ess and Geelong...

- Witts. Same deal with Darwin. (Averages 110+ there) for 2 games, then St. K, Freo and Geelong leading into a good bye.
(I'll put it here that he'll outscore Xerri over the next 4 games)

Both ~100k cheaper.

Xerri has 3 tough games before his bye? Couldn’t disagree more mate. OMac and Cameron aren’t easy but he’ll probably still low ton like he did last year and the tigers matchup saw Xerri score 144 last year and it’s still one of the easiest matchups this year.

You could be right that they outscore Xerri over the next 4 but I’m not trading in English with his bye. I get Xerri has the same bye but his draw is so good, he’ll probably be the highest averaging player in the comp from now till seasons end.

I can see Witts going massive over the next month but I’m not trading him in for a month of good footy.

I do agree though, I wish I got Xerri last week, although I 100% would have missed out on big Max C if I had Xerri.

Ah, **** it, was being sensible with just 2 trades this week let Butters come down in price a little, then again, hmmm. I thought Butters would be a bit down on scoring last week, but he still did very well, with the blackhole that is Bont hoovering up the KOTD action, got Bont last week for that reason, expecting Butters to go big again now he's over 'The Bont' so **** it, going to get Butters in.

true. but if you trade him for a fallen premo then you make just as much cash and get better scoring. I.e If Ryan goes 110 then he makes 100K, and you get and extra 30 points per round on field in the meantime.

True, but you can't show your face on this board if you have Ryan.

I mean I have him and everyone already thinks I'm a dick so it don't matter to me.

Besides I want him all to myself, think he's coming into a bit of form now, he was roaming a bit more than the last few weeks and still getting most of the kick outs.

And regardless of what a few on here think, I think he is one of the better kicks going around.

Xerri is a must have if anyone dosen't have him you need to pay up. I've swapped Rowell & Flynn(Flex) to Xerri & Kiddy.

Marshall went on a rampage second halve of 2024.
I’m thinking of getting him into flex.

He did look good, another consideration is I got Marshall in last week as apart from him looking better and seemingly over his niggles it solved my R3 issue. Having Boyd was annoying me being a constant emergency and not worth risking the C on, saved a trade keeping him, as I don't mind Marshall in flex, assuming Boyd will come in if Marshall misses a week.

Yeah I’ve brought him in as my flex this week for Flynn. Don’t like the lack of flexibility of him as my flex, but has a massive upside, heavily discounted and over his injury cloud.

Re. JS for Fonti, as I've said all year, it's Stone, Fonti and Fahey for that 7th defender spot (left open by Cumming/Perryman). Stone got his chance and failed. Now it's Fonti's turn. I'm confident he'll be given a couple of months. He showed more in that game than Stone has shown in his career. And Fahey is shit.

There is a caveat on Marshall however, hoping it is because he was carrying some niggles- had only 4 tons this year, all at Marvel- didn't check apart from last weeks venue, but hope he plays a lot more at Marvel.

Out of the players you mentioned I would pick Steele. Looks to be running into a bit of form and Macrae in the team helps him out a bit. Just hope his body holds up.
